Completely irrelevant to the rest of the board, of course...

Tony's latest book, Fireshadow has just been announced as one of the 6 shortlisted books for the CBCA Book of the Year award (Older readers).

[Big Grin]

The winner is announced in August. There is a nice cash prize for the winner, but being on the short-list is wonderful in and of itself. It means many, many more sales, more attention from schools and a spiffy sticker on the cover.

We are a very happy household this afternoon. Now excuse me, I have to go open the champagne.

imogen- Do you know when or if it'll be published in the US?

quid- Are there any books you're looking for in the next month or so? I'm in the mood to go bookshopping and everyone knows that books you buy as gifts don't cost any money.

Blacwolve - as yet there are no plans for US publication.

But a CBC shortlisting usually generates some interest in the international market, so that may change in the next couple of months.
