"Beauty" was her retelling of "Beauty and the Beast", somewhat based on the version Andrew Lang gave in "The Blue Fairy" book combined with a lot of her own invention.

Her retelling of Sleeping Beauty was called Spindle's End (based on the "Briar Rose" version of the tale) and came out in the year 2000...considerably less than 20 years ago. A year _after_ Enchantment came out.

Just in case OSC doesn't catch the mistake in his latest review column in time. *ahem* [Smile]

Hmmm. I can't send him a private message or an email about it...is there anyway to forward this message to him other than hoping he sees it here?

It's a minor (but key) factual correction.

Try the "OSC Help Desk" link at the top of this page (in the box next to the tree picture) and send an email that way. Specify something like "Error in Current Essay" as the topic.
