Hi, folks. I, Papa Moose, am indeed taking over the moderator position. I was planning on having more time to compose an announcement post, but as was mentioned, nothing stays under the radar at Hatrack for very long.
As to a couple questions from the other thread: No, I don't like Papa John's pizza. And while I would hope that my involvement here as Papa Janitor would be able to be as little necessary as possible, my involvement as Papa Moose shouldn't change too much (aside from the fact that I'll probably be trying to keep up on every thread again instead of just some).
Some other people might have noticed that the Papa Moose name is at 4,998 posts. I've chucked the idea of posting my "I've thought about this, and need to spend less time here at Hatrack for a while" landmark, so maybe I'll think of something else, maybe I won't do one, or maybe I'll buck the x,000 trend and post one a little later.
Anyway, I'd like to think this won't change any of our relationships. Though I now have enough clout to petition that the maximum graemlins per post be reduced to one.
No, not really. Two, maybe.

Things always go well when you put a Moose in charge. Congratulations and good luck Pop. I only hope that the people at Hatrack can be so good you never need to use your powers. But that's never happened so far....so I hope the need for deletions, lockings, and banishments from the realm can be as low as possible during your tenure.

I remember watching Northern Exposure with my dad. During the opening credits, about every other shot has a moose in it. We'd put both hands up by our faces, spread out our fingers like antlers, and yell "MOOOOOSE!" as loud as we could. Drove my mother nuts.
