I'm in a fighting mood and apparently kat is too.

Here goes:

-I would never drink anything less than Whole milk, that wretched 1% is just water with friggin' white food coloring! And I hear that's what katharina drinks, wench!

Posted by katharina (Member # 827) on :

You're so wrong, sadly. It makes me weep. I drink nothing but skim.

Posted by UofUlawguy (Member # 5492) on :

I'm here in support of kat. I only drink skim. I will, reluctantly, drink 1% in a pinch. 2% disgusts me, and I consider whole milk and buttermilk to be abominations.

Posted by no. 6 (Member # 7753) on :

What is 1% mild anyway?

Someone who is only slightly mediocre? [Confused]

Posted by katharina (Member # 827) on :

Yay! LawGuy is my second!

I'll try to not to die in the duel, as a courtesy.

Soy, baby. Soy.

Posted by Vána (Member # 6593) on :

Skim milk is the only way to go.

Posted by scottneb (Member # 676) on :

no. 6, your reading abilities are failing. I bet you drink skim as well!

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

And I wasted clotted cream on you two!?!?

For years, I drank skim milk. I then met my wife, who drank whole. We've compromised on 2%. [Smile]

Posted by UofUlawguy (Member # 5492) on :

Soy milk is only acceptable if it is chocolate.

Posted by twinky (Member # 693) on :

I drink skim as well. But I'm not drinking all that much milk these days. Only with cereal. OTOH, I get plenty of dairy through yogurt. [Smile]

(Either 1% or fat-free yogurt. Plain, always.)

Edit: For cream, I make an exception and forget about my arteries. This is how I justify eating pavlova, for example.

Whole Milk is God's equivilant to Super Unleaded.

Posted by Vána (Member # 6593) on :

You don't drink clotted cream, ElJay! Completely different!

Posted by Glaphyra the Righteous (Member # 6995) on :

Chocolate soy milk is pretty good.

[ [Wall Bash] ]

Um, I do enjoy a nip of Devonshire cream every now and then. The contrast to the smooth blandness of plain soy highlights the richness.

Yeah.

*er... milk*

I like skim milk. Or buttermilk. Or real whipped cream or clotted cream. Or real butter.

I can't eat too much dairy, though, or it irritates my IBS.

Darn you all!

I drink soy in part so I can snarf my cream clotted.

Stick to the ISSUES! There's an arguement at hand! [Mad]

Why would you bother drinking skim milk? It's like milk-flavored water.

I bet you're the types that drink drink Coors Light beer.

OK, probably not.

Posted by scottneb (Member # 676) on :

-2 Points for you.

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

*grin* I'm actually not in much of a fighting mood. And while I used to be a skim-only girl, I now vary my milk purchases with mood, following a complex system I can't really quantify.

So *HUGS* to Vana and GtR, my clotted-cream buddies. [Big Grin]

I drink whole because I was brought up on it. However, I am quite happy with 2%.

1%/Skim- they taste like water!

And duels are dumb. Especially with pistols. What kind of a fight is that, one shot and that's it. What skill is that supposed to be testing other than the ability to move your arm and finger quickly!?

Oh, hey! I forgot! Kat, did you say you were thinking of writing a letter of congratulations to O'Hare? You might not want to after all. It's a Federal crime just to bring a controlled item to the airport security check, even if you didn't know it was banned. (They obviously don't prosecute all these, but they might get ticked if you were "testing" them.) A nice newbie linked to a webpage re: my knitting needles, and I forgot to both thank her and heads-up you.

Air Travel - Prohibited Items

Prohibited items are weapons, explosives, incendiaries, and include items that are seemingly harmless but may be used as weapons - the so-called "dual use" items. You may not bring these items to security checkpoints without authorization.
...
If you bring a prohibited item to the checkpoint you may be criminally and/or civilly prosecuted or at the least asked to rid yourself of the item. A screener and/or Law Enforcement Officer will make this determination depending on what the item is and the circumstances. This is because bringing a prohibited item to a security checkpoint - even accidentally - is illegal. [italics added]

I wear combat boots, too, so I'm glad you didn't decide to go that route. You've got 17 minutes to try to come up with an actual insult, and then I'm leaving to go for a ride. Come on, spoil my mood, I dare ya!

Ew. Skim milk is so revolting.
It's barely even milk...
It's all about whole or 2%
But, whole is better for milkshakes and frosting and also paneer cheese.

I'll also start the rumor here on Hatrack that AJ isn't really a scientist by any means. She's just a broken down under-grad that makes the Elementary School-assembly circuit making volcanoes "erupt" with vinegar and Baking Soda and calls that her "lab."

...just remember, you heard it here first.

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

If by "devil milk" you mean skim milk (or was it mild?), then most definitely. They drank whole milk until the age of two. After that, they graduated to skim -- you know, what adults drink.
