Next January, I'm leaving! I'll be going to school in Beijing, China, for 4 months as part of an exchange program. How crazy is that? I just thought that I would share.

Yeah, I get to learn Chinese. Actually, the exchange is run through the language department at my school, and I'm only eligable because I've been studying Chinese. For the record, its the hardest language ever. Every word has its own character, and each sound has 5 meanings. For instance, the word "ma" can mean horse, mother, to curse, flax, or "?". It all depends on how you sing it. Hopefully, this trip will help me become fluent; you just can't learn the subtleties of a language without speaking it 24/7, you know?
