I have a black rubber band thing on my wrist and the faded marks of the building name for my final exam that I took yesterday on my palm: "Turlington L005 12:30-2:30"

What's on your hand/wrist?

The time at the tone will be a freckle past a hair.

Oddly, today I am wearing only my wedding set. I usually have at least one bracelet or a watch or something, but not today.

A single plain platinum band that I put on my finger seven years ago yesterday. [Smile]

A puzzle ring on the pinkie finger of my right hand. Moderately long fingernails, no polish.

knife scars and pink sparkly fingernail polish

No nails?

Just my wedding band.

General Purpose Building A.

That's what it was called back when I was there before they renamed it. They had a skit at Gator Growl one year about a freshman asking upperclassmen where Turlington was and getting yelled at. He was eaten by the potato at the end.

On my right hand, a ring made of four rows of size 11 charlotte-cut hematite beads peyote-stitched together by Chris [Smile]

On my left hand, semi-healed scratches from my last round of semi-nude gardening. [Wink]

I actually got chastised once by a guy working at a drive-through; I didn't catch everything he said, but it was something to the effect of, 'Writing on your hands isn't very professional.' [Big Grin]

Just my wedding band: a platinum band with Celtic knotwork running around it.

Oh, plus a little ketchup I missed at lunch.

[Razz] at Dan.

For anybody reading Dan's post, copyrights are far too long (IMNSHO), but not that long. Imagine having to seek permission to perform any play ever written *shudder*.

it actually happens to be this ring today.

I'm wearing a mood ring that a friend gave me at Easter. It's a simple band with suns on it. I really don't think it's a mood ring, so much as a hand-temperature ring. Right now my finger is moderately warm.

Posted by Papa Moose (Member # 1992) on :

You two engaged again, Kama?

Posted by Kama (Member # 3022) on :

nah, but the ring had been mine, and so I wear it when I feel nostalgic.

Or when I dress blue.

I have noticed the new trend toward these rubber-band type bracelets -- what's up with that? What are they called?

I saw someone showing a bunch off the other day, and one guy here at work is wearing one now that is yellow and has something on it indicating Lance Armstrong.

I must have missed all the news on this new trend.

Let's see... right hand:

One of those five dollar stainless steel rings that jewelry shops have by the basketfull by the cash register (It's something between a family heirloom and a family joke)

My Victorinox watch, mark II (Mark one was run over by a car, and while it still runs it is no longer capable of holding a watch band, plus the glass face shattered and the hands are quite exposed).

One large scar on my knuckle (intentionally inflicted by laser), another scar from my knuckle to my watch from a metal podium, and four various scars from a minor mauling by a dog about ten years ago.

Left Hand:

One scar on the index finger that looks something like a surgical wound, but isn't.

And of course on both hands there are the associated nails, quicks, skin, blood, etc. that should be on a hand.

Hmmm, how to explain without revealing anything too personal... Let's just say that it serves as a constant reminder of something I once had that I'd give just about anything to find elsewhere.

Hey, no. 6, is it ticking away with your sanity? [Smile]

Sadly I have removed all ornamentation from my hands and they currently stand bare. Of course they are this way through my own doing and choice but still...

I have a mood ring that I like to wear, but I don't wear it all the time because it turns my finger green. [Frown]

Posted by Farmgirl (Member # 5567) on :

Understood, beatnix... [Frown]

No rings on my hands either. I do have a beautiful mother's bracelet that a friend made for me, which has beads which spell out the names of my three children, and their birthstones.

I normally don't wear jewelry at all - so it was rare for me to get this.

I didn't know we were talking wrist wear. I do wear a cool Fossil Watch that no one but me seems to like. I think it rocks though.

Posted by Farmgirl (Member # 5567) on :

Wow - those Fossil watches look cool beatnix! I couldn't get your link to show a photo, so I went to fossil.com and looked at them there. I might have to keep that bookmarked for some upcoming gift ideas...

edit: I like this one

I was stoked for a minute, thinking they'd be watches with pictures of fossils on the face. That'd be the perfect Father's Day gift.

I have the word "off" in black permanent marker on my right hand from my goth club, to show that I paid to get in and that I'm old enough to drink. They have different words for each day, and spell out a phrase over a week. Usually they are crude... [Wink] Makes me wonder what the rest of the phrase was.

Watch my wife got me.

Mine is a bit older than the new line but it looks similar to this one. There is a big 12, 3, 6, and 9 and it has a plain black band.

lets see, a birthmark smacked in the middle of my wrist..kinda. no nail polish, nails aren't short, not long.

a ring on my left thumb. looks like [URL=http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://sanibelgoldsmith.com/shop/images/dolp_ring_double.jpg&imgrefurl=http://sanibelgoldsmith.com/home/sg1/page/63/4&h=361&w=300&sz=30& tbnid=zlV95sS12YgJ:&tbnh=117&tbnw=97&start=9&prev=/images%3Fq%3Ddolphin%2Bring%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D]this[/URL] but sterling silver. a braided looking ring on my right forefinger, and a plain band on my right ring finger...no meaning. it was supposed to be for my middle finger, but i bought a ring size too small [Wall Bash]

I'd like to post something very PSI-like, but she always surprised me. She is missed.

Yep, not PSI.

By now, PSI had usually jumped all over my head at least once and made me feel bad for hurting her ankle. [Taunt]

on my left hand, wedding band and engagement ring, and a nice 3 inch vertical scar on the palm between the pinky and ring fingers.

On my right hand, my claddagh - a gift from my hubby a few christmases back. No scars, just freckles.

oh, I have fingernails, and my knuckles are hairy for a chick, but I have man-hands anyway...

I'm Desdemona, by the way. [Smile]

It feels natural for me... I can't get along without it. When going out formally, I tone it down a bit. It's who I am.

I had nothing on this morning (well, the freckles and hairs and such were there), but now my hands are fully dressed. [Wink]

Right hand: watch (simple and cheap, because I beat the things up -- that this particular one has lasted over a year is impressive), ring. The ring is gold-plated, and has purple stones that form a flower, with one clear stone in the center and three to each side that form leaves.

Left hand: ring, silver. Has my first and middle names in raised Hebrew lettering over an engraved image of the Kotel (Western Wall). Similar to this -- except two names, not one.
