I'm still in negotiations, so I can't say what I'm planning.

You'll find out soon enough.

As for later service, I'm not too worried. They don't need too many people that do what I do in deployed locations. They may need one or two per location and they usually fill that with volunteers on Active Duty.

Basically, personnel accountability.

I make sure people are where they're supposed to be and doing what they deployed to do.

On a related note, I just was handed my official opinion on the BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) Listing:

"I support the fair judgement of the Board and believe they made the right decision."

I get to revert to my own opinions on Tuesday (after I'm out of the military).

The Government is cutting military spending by closing some stateside-bases. The BRAC is a listing of those bases to be closed, it will be released Monday. Our base, Mountain Home AFB, is on that list and everyone is on pins and needles waiting. The Commander just issued a standard opinion for everyone stationed here, in the case they are questioned by the media.


I really need to stop assuming people understand what I'm talking about.
