I haven't heard from her at all in over a week, which is very unusual. The last news I had from her (and I see that it's the last she posted here as well) was good news, so I'm trying not to worry too much, but...well, anyway. Does anyone know anything?

and her live journal hasn't been updated since April 29... I wondered about her the other day

she's been to the To Be Continued convetion. Posted over at the George Martin board on the 8th. I'm guessing she's fine [Smile]

I hope so... :/

To Be Continued convention? Not that she has to check in with me on everything, but...that seems like the kind of thing she'd have mentioned.

Maybe I missed it.

I hope you're right, Kama!

Hmm, I noticed she hadn't posted on livejournal for a while too...

(((xnera)))) even if she is okay.

Hm. That is strange. Where are you Karen?

I have her phone number, however it is in my cell phone which currently has a malfunctioning blank screen. The phone is getting replaced tonight and once they download my old phone book into the new phone I'll call her.

Yeah, I was wondering about her too, even though the last I heard from her was good news. Hope everything's all right and she's just had a busy time settling into her new job.

Yeah, I was wondering, too. I sent her an email asking if she still wanted the bittorrenst of Lost I'd burned to CD for her ( It took me a while because I ran out of cds and kept forgetting to get more, and I wasn't sure if she'd downloaded 'em herself by then, since I took so long). Hadn't heard back from her, but sort of assumed she was just really busy.

AJ, I called last night, but she hasn't called back yet. It'd be great if you try, too, though!

No answer to the e-mail I sent her, either.

:/

Kama, do you know when that convention was supposed to end?

Posted by Kama (Member # 3022) on :

8th May. She posted after it ended.

Hmm.

Thank you, Kama.

Still hoping she'll see this...

Karen's fine! She's taking a vacation from the internet. Turns out, there are better things to do sometimes than sit in front of a computer. [Wink]

Now I can stop worrying about bus crashes and the like. [Smile] Yay!

Phew...

Woo. I was so worried. [Smile]

oh good!

Thanks for telling us.

Thank GOD. It just didn't seem like her, but I'm glad she's taking the time off. We all need it once in a while

City buses? Those things are tanks, man. Be more concerned about what they hit, than what hits them. Unless, of course, that was your concern.

PC, buses do flip.

I was also worried. [Smile] Glad she's okay.

PC, that was MY concern. I didn't think of the bus getting into an accident and her being ON it. I had pictures of the bus and...ugh. Good to know that she is alive and well. [Smile]

I agree. X is one of first hatrackers I ever met. Always good to know that meeting me isn't bad luck.

I'm trying to think of a situation where a city bus would flip. I can't think of anything offhand. They have a very low center of gravity. It would take some serious force to flip one of those things.
