We will dominate! We will rule all!

Who's with me?

Posted by Altáriël of Dorthonion (Member # 6473) on :

Aye!

Posted by Rani Sambol Oelik (Member # 8020) on :

Are you a condiment? *squints* You don't look like a condiment.

Posted by KarlEd (Member # 571) on :

I'd help, but I'm actually a main course (though I can be served as a hearty dessert as well. [Wink] )

Posted by Tandorii (Member # 8021) on :

I'm here to make chicken taste better, and I'll fight for that !

Posted by TomDavidson (Member # 124) on :

I'm pretty sure tandoori is the condiment. I think Tandorii is a planet.

Posted by Altáriël of Dorthonion (Member # 6473) on :

Course I'm a condiment! I'll make your steak taste better than A1 will ever hope to accomplish.

Posted by Tandorii (Member # 8021) on :

I'm an Indian curry paste, actually. People marinate chicken with me and yoghourt and grill it.

Posted by Altáriël of Dorthonion (Member # 6473) on :

yummy...*stomach grumbles*

Posted by Papa Moose (Member # 1992) on :

Mango chutney! It's the new ranch!

Posted by Tandorii (Member # 8021) on :

I'll be more a mint sauce person.

Posted by Rani Sambol Oelik (Member # 8020) on :

Tandoori is not a condiment. A tandoor is a type of oven - round, usually buried up to its neck, with clay on its sides. No, tandoori is not a curry paste. Yes, you can get tandoori curry pastes, but they're called that for ferenghi to differentiate it from other curry pastes. Indians call it curry.

Just to nitpick, you know. [Big Grin]

Posted by Tandorii (Member # 8021) on :

You do that very well [Taunt]

Posted by Rani Sambol Oelik (Member # 8020) on :

Thank you. It's a skill I've worked hard at mastering. [Big Grin]

Posted by P*t*cks Tandorii curry paste (Member # 8022) on :

Better ?

Posted by Rani Sambol Oelik (Member # 8020) on :

Almost. You spelled Tandoori wrong. [Big Grin]

Posted by Rani Sambol Oelik (Member # 8020) on :

Sheesh, considering that I only came into the world a mere half hour ago (or so), I sure have a decent post count happening.

Posted by P*t*cks Tandorii curry paste (Member # 8022) on :

Right, quid, I recognized you. *grumbles*
I love Indian food even if I'm unable to spell.

Posted by kaioshin00 (Member # 3740) on :

You condiments will never have mustard a strong enough force to dominate!

Just give up now!

Posted by Rani Sambol Oelik (Member # 8020) on :

I wasn't going for obscure. [Big Grin] But tell me, who are you?

Posted by P*t*cks Tandorii curry paste (Member # 8022) on :

Of courrrrrrrse I'm Frrench ! Where did you think I get this outrrrageous accent ?

Posted by Rani Sambol Oelik (Member # 8020) on :

Anna?

Posted by Anna (Member # 2582) on :

That was a big hint, right ? [Wink]

Posted by Rani Sambol Oelik (Member # 8020) on :

Yup. And I think it worked. *squints* Did it work?

Um, I like your other persona. Okay, I like this one, too, but the other one is fun. So, um, let it come out and play once in a while, 'kay?

Posted by Rani Sambol Oelik (Member # 8020) on :

Okay, maybe I'll change back into my other personality now.

Posted by Anna (Member # 2582) on :

With great pleasure, quid. Only I'll register the good spelling !
I hesitated with "Rogan Josh", another curry paste I know and like. Would it have been better ?

Posted by Rani Sambol Oelik (Member # 8020) on :

Ooooh! I think you and I might have been the only people who knew what that was! Coolness!

Also cool would be... Kotte Sambol or mint chutney or raita or.... I could think up a million of these babies. Er, a dozen at least, anyways. [Big Grin]

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

So what gives me away so fast, anyway? Is it the time of day I'm posting, my quirky and bizarre sense of humour, my wit, my charm? What?

Posted by Rogan Josh (Member # 8024) on :

Imogen would probably know what it is, too - she is much into Indian food, if I remember correctly, and it's easier to find in Australia than in France (or so I hear).
Actually, Quid, your sense of humour plus your large knowing of Indian food [Wink]

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

[ROFL] Yeah, yeah, I should'a known.

Hmm. Is that hummour at all similar to hummous? Does is have a lot of garlic and lemon juice in it? Cuz that's my favorite way....

Posted by Rogan Josh (Member # 8024) on :

I can't spell. *blushes*

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

[ROFL] Tis okay. I just love nitpicking sometimes, and today, I'm in the mood for it.

Oh, and you're about to become a part of the stew. [Big Grin]

Posted by Rogan Josh (Member # 8024) on :

Nope. No rice left.

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

Ah, but ...

Posted by Crown Princess of Pickle Relish (Member # 8019) on :

I will condescend to participate with this revolution, but only if I may have a good place in the resulting governmental hierarchy when it's all over.

Posted by Rogan Josh (Member # 8024) on :

If only I knew the Monty Python dialog by heart... You know, the peasants that don't recognize Arthur in Holy Grail.

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

Rogan Josh, grandma has naan.

CP, you may be my secretary of state. How does that sound? Oh, and all the cucumbers you can stand.

Posted by Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged (Member # 7476) on :

Now i'm having Curry withdrawls. There was this curry place I used to go to in Japan. It is called Coco's. It had the best...curry...ever. Well that I know of.

Posted by Rogan Josh (Member # 8024) on :

Can I be the goverment official cook ?

Posted by Crown Princess of Pickle Relish (Member # 8019) on :

Hmm...Ok, I can work with that, as long as pickles are served at EVERY state dinner.

*sets out to learn how to spin things*

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

Absolutely. Um, are you any good, Rogan?

Wowbagger - yeah, see, that's the whole reason for this thread, to tempt you beyond reason for excellent curry. Going insane yet?

Posted by Rogan Josh (Member # 8024) on :

I promise I won't poison anyone you haven't asked me to.

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

Kewl! That's the spirit!

And on that note, I'm off to bed. G'nite!

Posted by Rogan Josh (Member # 8024) on :

Good night !

Posted by TomDavidson (Member # 124) on :

Thank God. Now maybe that "Cud" storyline can escape the Indian food rut.... [Wink]

Posted by Rogan Josh (Member # 8024) on :

I can't. Isn't it better that way ? [Big Grin]

Posted by Rogan Josh (Member # 8024) on :

OK, my "work day" is over and I have a busy evening. Good bye everybody, see you tomorrow !

Posted by TomDavidson (Member # 124) on :

Hey, I've already given Rogan Josh potential life outside the boundaries of condimentation. Run free, little sauce.

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

*comes in*

*looks around*

*smiles*

Posted by Hot Fudge Sauce (Member # 8025) on :

I shall rule the world!
[Evil]

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

*raises eyebrow*

Posted by Hot Fudge Sauce (Member # 8025) on :

*drizzles on KQ*

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Ooooh, yum! I love hot fudge sauce. It's really good mixed with ketchup.

Posted by Hot Fudge Sauce (Member # 8025) on :

Ew.

*backs away, so as not to get ketchupy*
*licks self*

Posted by Crown Princess of Pickle Relish (Member # 8019) on :

As unsure as I am about accepting dessert condiments into the hierarchy of our new government, I will have to agree with Mr. Sauce--hot fudge and ketchup together sounds ABSOLUTELY repulsive.

I'm sorry, KQ, but there are some unions that aren't meant to be, even for political purposes.

One of your own kind...stick to your own kind!

[Big Grin]

quote:

But I was created sticky...I pretty much stick to everything.

You're just jealous because you're not chocolate. [Razz]
And you know chocolate can rule the world on it's own.

Posted by Crown Princess of Pickle Relish (Member # 8019) on :

You know, I'M not out to rule the world. I'm only out to protect the interests of Pickletopia. I just think that a union between dessert condiments and non-dessert condiments is a recipe for disaster.

That, and REALLY gross hot dogs, and desserts.

Edited because by marriage I meant union...since I think KQ is technically already married to one of her own kind. [Wink]

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Oh, heck yes. And we have already produced a Crown Princess.

Posted by Ketchup Princess (Member # 7716) on :

[Wave] Hi! Can I come play? I like Rogan Josh! [Kiss]

Posted by Hot Fudge Sauce (Member # 8025) on :

Well fine then. If you don't want to rule the world, I will. [Smile]

People love chocolate...and it is addicting. They just can't get enough of me. [Wink]

*primps in mirror*

Posted by Crown Princess of Pickle Relish (Member # 8019) on :

Like I said, you can have the world...with the exception of my kingdom. [Big Grin]

And yes, people DO love chocolate, but it shouldn't be mixed with non-dessert condiments! That's my whole point!

Posted by Ketchup Princess (Member # 7716) on :

*looks up with sticky face and hands*

Yes, chocolate is yum-yum! More!

*eats more Hot Fudge Sauce*

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

*contemplates chocolate-dipped sweet pickle with ketchup*

Hmmm...

Posted by Hot Fudge Sauce (Member # 8025) on :

Ack! Hey, cut that out! Or I'll get in your hair! [Taunt]

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

(Pssst. She doesn't mind that, she puts food in her hair all the time...)

Aw darn.

*plots escape plan*

edit: in response to KQ

Posted by Cool Whipped Cream (Member # 8027) on :

Have no fear, Whipped Cream is here!

*heroic pose*

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Ooooh, I love Whipped Cream. [Kiss]

*knights Whipped Cream*

Posted by Cool Whipped Cream (Member # 8027) on :

[Big Grin]

Posted by Crown Princess of Pickle Relish (Member # 8019) on :

We have no problem with that, as long as you're not involving him/her in some unholy combination of dessert and non-dessert condiments.

*acknowledges Whipped Cream*

Edited to include the royal we, which just doesn't get enough play.

Posted by Cool Whipped Cream (Member # 8027) on :

Just call me "Sir Cool". [Wink]

Posted by Hot Fudge Sauce (Member # 8025) on :

*drizzles on Sir Cool*

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Awww, PR, I was just teasing you. While I do like ketchup on my cheesecake, I would never willingly involve a pickle in it. I value your friendship too much.

Shall we go for hamburgers? The dessert condiments can hang out with the shakes.

Posted by Hot Fudge Sauce (Member # 8025) on :

You mean I can't hang out with you guys?
*tear*

Posted by Crown Princess of Pickle Relish (Member # 8019) on :

Indeed. We shall accept your offer of peace and hamburgers.

Let the fork...er...hatchet be buried between our two peoples. [Big Grin]

Posted by Cool Whipped Cream (Member # 8027) on :

Don't cry.

You'll dillute the chocolate.

Posted by Crown Princess of Pickle Relish (Member # 8019) on :

Mr. Fudge: You can hang out; you just can't MIX.

You said it yourself; ketchup and hot fudge sauce do not a healthy combination make.

Posted by Hot Fudge Sauce (Member # 8025) on :

Mr.? MR.?! I am a lady, thank you very much.

Ok, I won't mix. I'll just hang.

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Exactly. But, in the end, we all end up in the same place, and isn't that what's important?

Posted by Crown Princess of Pickle Relish (Member # 8019) on :

Oh, so sorry. We called you Mr. a little while ago, and you didn't protest, so we just assumed.

Our sincerest apologies, Lady Fudge Sauce. [Big Grin]

Posted by Cool Whipped Cream (Member # 8027) on :

Is this the "don't let foods touch each other on the plate" but "they'll mix in the stomach anyway" argument?

Posted by Crown Princess of Pickle Relish (Member # 8019) on :

Queen Ketchup, yes, ultimately, we all go to the same place, but realistically, some combinations are an offense to the God of Taste.

And isn't that what condiments are all about...taste?

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Sir Cream, I am all for freedom of mixing, but for the time being, we are trying to keep the peace.

Posted by Cool Whipped Cream (Member # 8027) on :

*starts singing Kum-by-yah*

Posted by Hot Fudge Sauce (Member # 8025) on :

*holds hands and sings*

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

*grimaces* How about a nice round of "We Shall Overcome" or something instead? I am sooo sick of Kum-by-yah...

Posted by Crown Princess of Pickle Relish (Member # 8019) on :

But what would we be overcoming?

Posted by Pico de Gallo (Member # 8028) on :

The rest of the world....was't that the whole point? (And yes, I realize I'm not a condiment, LOL).

Posted by Crown Princess of Pickle Relish (Member # 8019) on :

Well, you're kind of a condiment. Close enough, anyway. [Big Grin]

And, that's true, I'd forgotten the whole "Taking over the world" thing.

Posted by imogen (Member # 5485) on :

Mmmm, Rogan Josh.

[Smile]

Anna was right.

Posted by God of Taste (Member # 8030) on :

Dessert and Non-Dessert Condiments are an unholy combination. They shall not mix. That is an abomination before Me.

They can, however, hang out and socialize. We have no problem with that.

Posted by Rogan Josh (Member # 8024) on :

Imogen, I knew that [Smile]
It's probably my Terry Pratchett addiction, when I read "abomination before me", I thought about Nuggan in Monstruous regiment [Razz]

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

Hey, I'm reading that right now. 2/3 done!

The God of Taste sounds like a fair and reasonable deity.

Um, wait...

I will rule the world!

Posted by Rogan Josh (Member # 8024) on :

It's OK if I can be co-ruler of the world with you.
Come on... It's too much work for one, anyway!

Posted by Rani Sambol Oelik (Member # 8020) on :

I will allow others to rule in my name, provided I receive my tribute.

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

...a freshly slaughtered and roasted (or stewed) lamb?

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

That sounds nice. [Smile] I miss Lamb Souvlaki. [Frown]

I offer pakoras. I prepared some for the first time yesterday, and they were really yummy.

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

Mmmmm...... Pakoras......

Posted by Uprooted (Member # 8353) on :

I am not a condiment. However, I do call to mind certain tasty condiments. Horseradish, for example.

I have no idea what Rani Sambol Oelik is, however.

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Well, you ought to educate yourself, then. ("Rani" means "King".)

Posted by Uprooted (Member # 8353) on :

Aha! I googled all three words w/ quotes and came up with nothing, so that helps. (Of course, her original post gave a big hint but your link was a little more specific, kq.)
