Lol! That guy must really enjoy tabs. Some people seem to think they're great like that. [Razz]

Actually, Firefox is cool to me because 1) It loads faster, and 2) downloads create a desktop shortcut automatically so I don't have to look for it if I want to open it up later after an initial peek at it when I download.

I've dropped all other browsers in favor of Firefox. I like it a lot.

And thanks to a lot of help from a lot of people, I've figured out how to get my mail out of AOL and into an easily printable format. Life is good.

Doing this makes it even faster, FYI. Edit: if you have broadband.

I just used Ad aware and spybot for about the 5th time since I started using Firefox. They have both turned up absolutely nothing from the time I abandoned IE. Apparently, IE has a butt-ton more security problems!

Is that a metric butt-ton, or conventional?

Posted by JonnyNotSoBravo (Member # 5715) on :

It depends on whether your butt is European or American.

I've stopped using Firefox. It would lock up on me just about every day. I like it, I want to use it, but it's too frustrating.

Ditto, afr. Maybe a later version will work out some bugs. [Frown]

I started uisng Firefox due to pop-ups. IE was having problems handling the amount of pop-ups I was getting and someone suggested Firefox. I tried it, and it worked!

Firefox is good only on a Mac.

I haven't had any problems with Firefox beyond some initial confusion with Hatrack cookies. And that managed to resolve itself on its own after about a month.

My bookmarks rearrenged themselves to be alphabetical, but I liked the order they were in.

I can't find out how to turn off animations in web pages.

Other than that, I like it a lot so far. I'm glad that it is more secure than IE.

Tatiana - for the bookmark problem, download the "Add Bookmark Here" extension. It makes dealing with bookmarks so much easier.

My Firefox and Winamp have stopped playing well together. Anytime I used the scroll wheel on my mouse, Winamp crackles and has a fit (regardless of whether the music is from a streaming, CD, or MP3 source). When starting up Firefox, it's also gotten in the habit of hanging up, and never starting. This normally results in having to reboot or force close the Firefox.exe process. Neither of these are problems I have in IE (those are entirely different problems of course).

Anyone else had to deal with these issues? Any suggestions (other than to find a media player that doesn't hog as many resources anyways)?

It's a simple question of weight ratios... a five ounce bird could not carry a butt-ton.

I thought this thread must be a reference to the fact that the new Jessica Biel movie (can't remember the name of it) about jets was a little bit like that jet movie "FireFox".
