Does anybody want to try City of Heroes without paying for it? I've got a code good for 14 days free. Can't be used on an existing account, new players only.

Hatrack is on Protector.
Originally it was on Virtue, but people spread all over the servers after that.
So when we all started playing CoH as a group again, we all started over on Protector.
My main is a controller named Catriona Lee, and I also have a tank named Kwea and a controller named Psiclopse.

My hubby and I both had our accounts reactivated For A Limited Time.
I'm too much into WoW to play CoH, but my hubby tried. He patched for 36 hours straight (NOT an exageration!) and then it wouldn't take his PW. (I reckon he forgot it but he insists that's what it was.)

LOL, I had the same thing with the patching. I left it overnight thinking that would be okay...nope. Of course, I had just reinstalled it from the client they had out on their ftp from the last free trial.

Actually, I just reactivated yesterday. Their free weekend suckered me in, of course.
I had trouble playing last weekend too, the Pixiest. The standard updater wouldn't connect for me. I went to the COH forums, and I saw that everyone was getting 35+ hour downloads. I ended up getting the european updater at one poster's suggestion, and the patching only took two hours or so. But then the game wouldn't take my account. Then, sunday morning, I was able to connect with the standard updater, and was able to log in.
It was fortunate timing for them, as I have just recently gotten burned out on WoW, and needed a break.
I figure I will activate for at least this month, possibly next month, and see after that.
I have two main characters from before I quit. A Gravity / Force Field controller and a Super Strength / Invulnerabilty tanker. The controller is level 17 (soon to be 18) and the tanker is level 22 I think. Both are on protector.
The controller's powers I love, but I cannot solo anything without it taking FOREVER. The tanker is a pretty sweet character (I can actually kill things by myself!), but the powers are kinda boring.
If anyone on hatrack wants to start a new character, I could start a new one as well to hang around with ya. I was thinking a defender or a scrapper would be fun. Perhaps a different type of controller (earth/storm maybe).
I vaguely remember having a global handle, but I couldn't tell you what it was. Hopefully I can figure out what it is in the game.

It tells you as soon as you connect (mine is Jaws of Life). I have a level 7 character on Liberty, and another one somewhere else...but none are very high so if we want to get going on the same server, I'm game. Good excuse to come up with another costume. My character on Liberty is a Technology-based Blaster with armor not unlike a blue/black version of Iron Man.

TheTick, would you be willing to make a new character on Protector? That way, once we get up to a certain level with our new heroes, I could switch over to one of my "mains" if I was bored of the new character.
No big deal if you would prefer a different server (or don't feel like creating a new hero).

Cool. Rereading this thread, I remember now that Protector was the hatrack server. Your other character is most likely there.
Plus, if any hatrackers also start back up (or are still playing), thats where they probably have their characters.

I have all my characters on Liberty. Chris and I have been playing since the game first came out. (Though we mostly play as Villains these days.) My global chat handle is @Figmint. Lately I'm usually on as Brambula, since she's the only character I've gotten all the way to level 40, and much of the new content in CoV is due to their expanding the max level from 40 to 50.
If I know someone is playing at a specific time I'd be willing to start a new character on Protector, but if I'm online without an appointment with a Hatracker, I'll be playing on Liberty.

I can tentatively say I will be playing tonight at 8PM central time. I should be done with dinner and the gym by then. Perhaps I could be playing as early as 7PM, but I can't say for sure.
Would be cool playing with hatrackers again. I was having a blast with everyone when we tried this a year ago.
It sort of fizzled out as everyone started leveling at different rates, but it was quite fun while it lasted.

Okay, on right now. My global handle appears to be @Phil, which is easy enough .
I'll be teamed up most likely, but if so, I will probably just leave the team after the mission I am on.

Yeah, I quit after about 5 months.
Rangar was level 46-47; my healer was about level 26-27.
I also had about 4 others, on two other servers, all about level 17-20.

I play, but I stick mostly to Gaurdian Server.
I do have a level 11 blaster on Protector, though.
