Well, working on-call for a computer shop doesn't pay the bills. So I've been applying all over the place trying to find something. I went in to Walmart about 2 days ago and filled out an application. The next day they called and set up an interview. Today I went in for the second interview. They haven't specifically told me I'm hired, but as soon as the Drug Test results come back, they're supposed to call and have me come in for orientation, which I'm assuming means I've got the job. I'm not completely sure about what Walmart's hiring process is. I'm going to be a stocking boy for a while, which I can handle much easier than, say, telephone surveys. Mostly because I hate phones with a passion that goes beyond all reason.

I have friends who've worked for walmart. Here's what I know from them: You're hired, retail hires everyone. Stocking Boy is not a bad job, you don't have to deal directly with customers unless one of them asks you a question while you're stocking. How good or bad your work experience will be depends greatly on the managers whose shifts overlap with yours. Some will be nice, some will make themselves feel powerful by being a jerk to you. If you're capable of doing night-shift stocking, take it. Far less people in your way.

Hope you enjoy your new job more than the old!
