Jillette names daughter Moxie CrimeFighter
Associated Press

NEW YORK - Comedian/magician Penn Jillette's latest stunt did not involve his usual sidekick, Teller: He became the father of a baby girl.

Jillette, 50, and his wife Emily, 39, welcomed Moxie CrimeFighter Jillette on Friday, according to publicist Glenn Schwartz. It was the first child for the couple, who married last year.

"We chose her middle name because when she's pulled over for speeding she can say, `But officer, we're on the same side,'" Jillette explained. "`My middle name is CrimeFighter.'"

The typically mute Teller had no comment on the new arrival.

Fun name! If the story's true, I hope their daughter doesn't hate them for it when she's older... [Smile]

That is the most horrible thing I've heard in quite a while. If that's real, that poor kid...

Moxie is a pretty cool first name. Hardly anybody tells people their middle name anyway, so I don't think it's that bad. I've known people who named their kids after star wars and mortal kombat characters, and those were both the first names.

And now there's Nymeria Daenerys Cersei Smigrodzki -- link

Nymeria and Daenerys are cool names... but Cersei? Eeep, nice name, but awful, awful person...

You say that now, but we will be getting her point of view in the next book, and I suspect you'll find her to be a sympathetic character after all.

I doubt that. I don't doubt he will TRY to make her one, but I doubt it will change my mind at all.

At least he didn't name her after his TV show.

I think that GRRM can write Cersei's viewpoint without necessarily making her sympathetic. After all, we had Theon's viewpoint in book 2, and I never felt much sympathy for him, and I doubt many others did.
