My son is just so sweet and cute and lovable. Oh and his t-ball team is going playing for the championship on Wed!

He is sick, currently temp of 102.7... sigh. But he's still just the sweetest little Wumpus!

Feel free to post about your adoration and appreciation for your child/ren here!

Awww, my Princess had a fever the other day. [Frown] I still have the cough. She's still nursing a little, so I think her immune system may be better than mine; she coughed four times, total, over the duration of her illness.

She's so cute when she stands and claps! She's just learning to balance, and so she claps for herself and then falls down. [Kiss]

*Is hoping that the fever breaks and the sweet little Wumpus will be able to participate on Wednesday*

I'd post an adoring tribute to my own child but I've just done one on its' own thread.

My poor little Sophie is starting to get separation anxiety at daycare. She's such a brave little girl. She's been adorable as of late, giving Tom and I little pats when we pick her up.

How could any mother not love great kids like these??. (My apologies to my oldest child, who is not pictured in that photo-- I love him too!)

I took my son (13) to the Cubs game last night. I had such a great time with him. While we were waiting to get out of Wrigley I hugged him and kissed the top of his head. He was so embarrased, but I don't care! We had a great night together.

My daughter (11) is the best, too! She and my wife had a girl's night painting toe nails and the like.

kq, that is SO cute. I remember when Snuggy was that age and he'd do something, clap and crow "yay for me!"

thanks, quid!

punwit, thanks for the well wishes! Your thread actually inspired my desire to have express my adoration for my little guy! He also had a dance recital last weekend, and performed flawlessly.

We are hoping he gets well fast for several reasons, the championship of course, and we are flying to CA on Thursday which could be a very uncomfortable trip for a sick Wumpus, AND he won't be able to hold his new cousin until he is well. At least we'll be there for a week and he can't stay sick THAT long (crosses fingers). Also we have finally gotten him up to 41 lbs. It would be nice if at least one or two of his ribs didn't jut out so much!

Farmgirl, LOVE the pics! What great looking kids! Show us your oldest too if you get the chance!

The Cubs game sounds like a blast! We definateluy want to take the Wumpus to an Isotopes game this season! He may have been embarrassed, but I bet he liked it too!

I spent 1/2 hour this morning trying to get my son to brush his teeth. He wanted to play Dragons instead. I don't know what playing dragons is, but it is NOT a way to get your teeth brushed.

I love my son. I wasn't sure I liked him much this morning.

I hate being the commanding, ordering, punishing papa.

This will make you cry. The first one anyway.

I that was so sweet! How old is your son?

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

But Dan, didn't you tell him that dragons have lots of teeth and have to brush them, or they lose the ability to breathe fire?

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Well, of course you would think the opposite, but dragons are magical. They don't go by normal rules. Duh. [Wink]

(It has come to my attention that I am a very sneaky mother.

Well, you have to be, when your one-year-old won't drink milk, and doesn't much like meat...)

I took my little Leslie to the hospital today to cheer up her Grampy. She looked extra cute in her cheerleader uniform! All the nurses had to play with her. Unfortunately, Grampy was sleeping so we'll go back tonight. But look at this baby! Wouldn't she cheer you up?!?

She is adorable!

We kinda like her, even though she is currently being fussy about her dinner. I guess I would be too if I were cutting 4 teeth at once. I can't wait until this stage is over. She compensates by doing what I think are amazing tricks. She pulled the drape around her Grampy's bed to her face and played peek-a-boo with him by herself! I though this was pretty smart for a 7 month old!

Awwwww, she is so adorable!

And wow, FG, what good looking kids!

Dan , pictures of Sasha always make me smile.

Amanda is 11 and still hugs me, sits on my lap occasionally and will even hold my hand while we're walking - even in a store!

She turns 12 next month ... nearly a teenager. I get all the enjoyment out of these moments that I possibly can.

Oh, and one day I was driving somewhere with her and a song came on, "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5. We both sang along to the radio. [Big Grin]

Cayla is 9 1/2. She's so bright, caring, compassionate (I could go on and on).

She's more responsible and spiritual than I feel that I am. She sets a good example for me.

I don't think she will ever grow out of wanting hugs and holding my hand - and that's a warm fuzzy feeling.

In regards to Sasha'/Dragon dentistry: Yes, we discussed the dental hygene of the common and uncommon dragon. I even showed him pictures from some books I have. He was not convinced.

He said that he was a bad dragon, and everyone knows bad guys don't brush their teeth.

I tried to tell him (4, almost 5) that they have too in order to bite harder. He wasn't buying it.

How about bad dragons have metal teeth that need to be sharpened and polished regularly, or they don't rip and tear properly?

My son is 5.5, what a fun age!

edit: spelling, and I forgot to say his fever is down, though he is still sick and has a headache. But getting better.
