We are so totally there!

Anyone else going to be near Preston at the end of June?

I know my son would love to go.

Dear God! NOOOOOOOOOOO!

If I'm a big enough nerd to go to EnderCon (Sorry, those of you who were also there, but you know you're nerds!), I'm a big enough nerd to go to Preston for ND Festival. My step-daughters have already done the Preston tour with their Idahoan relations. [Big Grin]

I refuse to believe the world is this engulfed in the stupid, plotless movie craze!

Posted by aretee (Member # 1743) on :

We liked it before it was a craze.

[Climbs on high horse] If you think it's plotless, then you didn't get the movie. [/dismounts]

Don't like it=don't go I, however, want a picture of me in front of Uncle Rico's van for my classroom!

Edit: To fix my quote

I got it. But it isn't funny. The humor doesn't exist. Its stupid.

Wow, you live in Sullivan? I lived in Cuba. What a small frickin' world. However, that doesn't excuse your lack of sense of humor.

Sorry you didn't laugh. Don't go to ND Festival and quit hijacking my thread. You've stated across the borads that you don't like the movie. I get it already.

Posted by SteveRogers (Member # 7130) on :

I'm not hijacking it. I'm just stating that the movie wasn't that good, and yet we have a cult following. Sheesh, don't freak out on me.

The only part I liked was the cow getting blown away.

Posted by SteveRogers (Member # 7130) on :

Yeah, that was the only part I liked. And the only part I found humurous.

aretee! *tackle*

Holy crap. That looks like so much fun.

But the cow shooting was just wrong. [Frown]

Also, SR, you're doing that thing you do again. You know the one-- where you say that anyone who disagrees with you is wrong, in a completely non-humorous way, without providing any real explaination, over and over again. It's getting a bit old. Think you can lay off and leave the thread to the people who like it, or at least have something constructive to say about it, now that you've pointed out that you don't like it?

Let's put it this way, the festival exists because it's Idaho. THere is nothing in Idaho worth speaking of. In movie history, the only real claim that Idaho has had is Huston, Idaho, which was shown in Superman III. Preston got a few tourists who wanted to see the town in ND. Then the chamber of commerce decided, "What the heck, this'll be great for business." And it has been. Just live with it.

From the website:

Well it look's like everyone is busy and commited to project's but we will try and get autographed item's to give away as prize's.

That's the worst sentence I've ever read. I liked the movie, but even if I were in Idaho, having the festival advertised in such a manner is a dealbreaker. [Roll Eyes] [Razz]

Yeah, the Chamber of Commerce gives away ND maps so you can see all the stuff. My step daughters even went to Bonita (sp?) where Uncle Rico makes his deal before the dance.

We're going to Yellowstone anyway. We're just going to make sure we're near Preston on the 24 and 25.

I really want to do the tetherball, though.

Hey Mack! How are ya?
