How come your stupid site doesn't offer to send people round to my house to convince me I'll be happier as a Mormon?

If you guys aren't trying to spread the Truth to Ireland, shouldn't you be responsible when we get in trouble?

pwned

Try this link:

I believe this is one of the ways you can request the missionaries to visit you.

That's the site I'm talkin' 'bout!

Oh there we are, that's the first time I've ever seen the "Republic of" part included.

I suppose it's good they make the distinction. The Mormons finally win a round.

Now I'll start considering inviting them 'round, since they offer so generously and all.

You're right, Ireland doesn't show up on the drop-down list. There ARE missionaries in Ireland, as far as I know.

Edit: A-ha! See? [Smile]

Oh, I can invite missionaries around and try to corrupt them.

I can make a game out of it and see how quickly I can turning them into boozing, sex loving, coffee drinkers.

Good luck. :)

That's why they travel in pairs, Jebus. Unless you invite friends over, it's hard to tempt them both at once. [Smile]

So, a powerful knockout drug in the water / milk you offer one guy; a powerful aphrodisiac, or maybe Rohypnol, for the other.

Or try oxytocin up the nose! [Wink]

Hmm. Actually, that raises an interesting question. Much faith derives from being told Bible stories, or whatever, by trusted people. Could missionaries duplicate that effect? If so, would that be real faith, and if not, how could you tell it from the other kind?

If it grows when the planter leaves, and produces good fruit. . .

If you do not master your rage, then rage will become your master....

How about when KoM is finished with his discussions on faith, I get to lead a discussion in particle physics?

Aw, Annie, that particular statement wasn't actually off. It's not a complete picture, but faith can begin by being told about God by people you trust.

He wasn't wrong then. That doesn't mean he isn't wrong in other places, but he wasn't in that particular post.

Annie -- why don't you rant again about how awful The DaVinci Code is? [Wink]

I could bag on the the linguist in "Stargate" again. Oh, wait, I seem to have fundamentally misunderstood the nature of the irony we are going for here.

"That's what you were going to say, right?"

"Not necessarily".

What was the line I was thinking was so funny from that the other day?

Well, mainly I like singing the "Waffle Man" theme song.

Last time the subject of missionaries in ireland came up with jebus, he specifically asked for the female missionaries. I assume nothing has changed, right, Jeebs?

I'll be back in Limerick next month.

The last time I was there the missionaries had their hands full, helping a group of Nigerian refugees to get settled in and doing other public service projects.

Do you really want to waste their time?
