...who would you choose? Someone who you already resemble, or someone completely different?

Jennifer Connelly and Catherine Zeta Jones are at the top of my list.

Your first link is busted.

MPH is right, it's busted.

Does it work now? (Different pic.)

Posted by Valentine014 (Member # 5981) on :

All I know, is that if I woke every morning and saw Catherine Zeta-Jones' face staring back at me in the mirror, I'd never make it to work.

Here's a really good site to help everyone make their decision.

Ugh, no way. I'll stick with my own comfortable plain face. The one that doesn't require gobs of makeup and eons of maintenance, the one that shows my age and my experiences, the one that my guy seems to like just the way it is.

Posted by Vadon (Member # 4561) on :

I dunno for sure, Christopher Walken? Willem Dafoe?

Posted by alluvion (Member # 7462) on :

those are good.

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Kate Hudson, but with red hair and whiter skin.

Honestly, I've always wanted to look like my sister most of all. (Not the one I look like, the other one.)

Posted by Epictetus (Member # 6235) on :

I aparently look a lot like Tobey Maguire, and I suppose I'm happy with that...though, if I had my wish, I'd like to sound like Carey Grant, if not look like him.
That man had a great voice.

It's hard for me to answer this, because then I have to decide how old I'd want to look. [Smile]

Posted by Randy (Member # 8181) on :

I guess I'm comfortable just being me, but I always thought it would be a cushy job to be a celebrity look-alike, getting minor gigs for accomplishing exactly nothing but looking like a celebrity.

The only person of fame I ever found that I looked like was scientist Stephen Jay Gould. First time I saw his picture, I was startled. The resemblance was stronger when I had my mustache.

My dreams of having the life of a celebrity look-alike were dashed when the man passed on. [Wink]

Posted by Farmgirl (Member # 5567) on :

Well, I still most certainly want to be a redhead. That's one thing about myself I like.

So who would be a good drop-dead gorgeous redhead (NOT dyed red!) that I could be?

Milla Jovovich.

Catherine Zeta-Jones or Angelina Jolie

A drunk man in Austria once told me I look like Nicole Kidman. Her eyebrows scare me though. She looks positively evil sometimes.

I don't know if I'd want to look like anyone else. Oh, wait! Who am I kidding?? Of course I do! I've always wanted to be Audrey Hepburn. But then, doesn't everyone? *sigh*

Posted by mr_porteiro_head (Member # 4644) on :

I really am surprised that anybody would say Angelina Jolie. Different strokes, I guess.

Posted by Stray (Member # 4056) on :

Hmm...tough choice...I could go for looking like Angelina Jolie, or Kate Winslet, or Julianna Margulies. Winona Ryder wouldn't be bad either.

Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :

Astaril, you beat me to it!!! I was going to say Audrey Hepburn! She's my number ONE choice.

But also on my list:
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Keira Knightley
Robin Wright

...and more.

Posted by katharina (Member # 827) on :

I love this description of Angelina Jolie:
quote:
Because Angelina Jolie is not sexy, exactly; she's more like what an alien race might concoct from scratch, based on some half-garbled idea of earthly sexiness. But, being an alien race, and not really understanding the usual limitations of humanity, they go a little overboard: the lips, the curves, the smoldering glance. Like, nice try, alien race, but let's get real.

Posted by UofUlawguy (Member # 5492) on :

How about a young Marlon Brando?

Posted by mr_porteiro_head (Member # 4644) on :

That's a pretty good description of her, actually.

Which boggles my mind even more that you would pick her.

Posted by The Pixiest (Member # 1863) on :

I'd want to go with someone who's looks won't fade. Up until recently I would have said Allison Hannigan but she's showing signs of age =( (And she's younger than me!)

Maybe Sandra Bullock? I always thought she was pretty and not TOO different than me (except of course, she's pretty.)

When I was young I would have said Winona Ryder. But now, I wouldn't want security guards following me in any store I went to.

Marlon Brando *dreamy*

MPH: That surprises you? I must be keeping my inner hussy well under wraps, then. That's good! [Smile]

Posted by mr_porteiro_head (Member # 4644) on :

Well, Kat, that description doesn't sound attractive at all to me.

Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :

I don't find her attractive at all, honestly. And yes, I know I'm a girl, but I still know enough to be able to judge when a girl is pretty. [Razz]

Posted by katharina (Member # 827) on :

Fair enough. [Smile]

Posted by mr_porteiro_head (Member # 4644) on :

ARGH! Those lips are taking over my screen!

Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :

I have to say I'm with Porter on this one.

Posted by katharina (Member # 827) on :

This is the weirdest insulting conversation I've ever been involved in. *amused*

Posted by advice for robots (Member # 2544) on :

UofU, you son of a gun, that's what I was going to say. Specifically to get kat's goat.

Hmmm. Johnny Depp, I guess.

Posted by mr_porteiro_head (Member # 4644) on :

But to be fair, kat, that is a georgeous picture of her. I guess she can be attractive as long as she isn't talking or moving.

Posted by mr_porteiro_head (Member # 4644) on :

I hope this conversation has been more amusing and less insulting. It was never intended to be the latter.

Posted by Xavier (Member # 405) on :

I'm with ya Kat. Angelina Jolie is Sex personified.

Posted by advice for robots (Member # 2544) on :

I think Emmy Rossum from Phantom of the Opera is stunning.

Posted by Astaril (Member # 7440) on :

My sister is in love with Angelina Jolie. Or wants to be her. I'm not sure which. Her screenname is "angelina" on everything for pete's sake. To be fair, she does look kind of like her though, but a lot shorter, and a little wider (not like that's hard).

Posted by mr_porteiro_head (Member # 4644) on :

One thing I'll give Angelina -- at least she doesn't look like a generic Hollywood beauty.

I think that big lips must do something for most people that they don't do for me. I've never understood the appeal of Julia Roberts either.

Posted by Xavier (Member # 405) on :

Lips like hers are good for things like...

well...

certain bedroom activities [Wink] .

I've always thought Halle Berry was probably the most perfect looking woman I've ever seen. I mean, have you ever seen skin that beautiful before? And talk about a drop dead gorgeous body!

Posted by Astaril (Member # 7440) on :

I think Audrey Tautou is quite pretty too, in a not-needing-loads-of-makeup way (the best way). I think I'll make her second on my list.

Posted by Bob the Lawyer (Member # 3278) on :

My older brother looked so much like Kurt Browning (during Kurt's bearded, pre-balding phase) that he'd get free drinks in bars despite his protestations that he was not, in fact, a world champion figure skater.

Posted by Astaril (Member # 7440) on :

Yeah, much as we all say 'I'd like to look like so-and-so', I think it'd be a pain to *actually* look like someone famous. My boss at one job was an exact replica of Bill Murray - he even spoke like him - and he'd have people in cities asking for autographs all the time. He hated it.

Posted by His Savageness (Member # 7428) on :

This is easy.

Steve Buscemi [Wink]

Posted by mr_porteiro_head (Member # 4644) on :

Awesome choice.

Posted by TomDavidson (Member # 124) on :

Christy has always made it clear to me that if Angelina Jolie ever invites her over for a night of sex, the only objections to which I'm entitled are to concern, say, the quantity of pictures taken.

-----

In my case, the problem is that while there are times I'd want to look like a hot young thing, there are other times when I'd rather look like a tough, grizzled vet or a friendly old man with crinkly eyes. So it's rather tough to say which. I suppose Robert Redford has managed to mostly gracefully bridge all three categories.

I was told repeatedly, actually, that I looked like Emmy Rossum with lighter hair and eyes when she appeared in Songcatcher.

Does that mean I have the potential to be stunning, too? [Wink]

As for the answer to the question...

The more I think about it, the more I think that I am a lesbian trapped in a man's body.

See, the girls in this thread are obviously choosing to look like women they are attracted to...

And I am kinda liking their choices more then the men I can think of. The idea of being attracted to myself is pretty cool...

Posted by IanO (Member # 186) on :

Well, I guess I would like to look more like Hayden Christensen, or Tom Welling. Yeah, that'd be kind of cool. Oh well. I'm me, at that's ok.

Oh, and isn't is funny that Beverly's picture for Catherine Zeta Jones is at nudefreecelebrities.com/catherine-zeta-jones-naked.jpg
[Eek!]

Yes, neither of the sites she linked to are ones I would have expected from her. [Eek!]

I'm assuming she found the pics with google.

Posted by beverly (Member # 6246) on :

Yeah, I used google images. I didn't care what the sites were, I just picked my favorite picture.

And boy, both of those celebs have an abundance of nudie pics that came up!

Posted by Lucky4 (Member # 1420) on :

Bev, I'm right there with you on Jennifer Connelly. My second choice would be Natalie Portman.

If I were a guy, I'd want to be Matt Damon or Edward Norton. Christian Bale would be nice too, but it might be a burden being that hot.

Posted by IanO (Member # 186) on :

yeah, I do the same (google images). It just caught my eye and I thought it was funny.

But she's so flat. And you're so not. And that's a good thing.

I think you're more gorgeous than either of them to begin with, Lucky.

Hey, BtL, is your brother single? [Smile]

I'd have to go with Charlize Theron who couldn't possibly look less like me. (Not to say I'm that dissatisfied with my looks.)

Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :

Natalie's not flat... and she really is beautiful.

Oh, and I almost wrote Emmy Rossum, and then I didn't, because it seemed silly. I'm not sure why.

I'd definately pick Alexis Bledel

Welcome, lifeonabicyclem4! [Wave]

Is your screen name from the song? I don't remember the name of it, but I love it! The one that's like ♪ You look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle made for two! ♫

Posted by Faire (Member # 8065) on :

I think I would pick Gisele Bundchen, but maybe Angelina Jolie.

I think she is ultra sexy.

If I was going to pick a guy, I'd probably say Heath Ledger.

Kate Winslet or Jennifer Ehle .

I've always wanted to have shoulders like Linda Hamilton's in Terminator 2.

Posted by IanO (Member # 186) on :

I think Linda Hamilton in the FIRST Terminator was much more attractive then her more "stringy" self in the second.

Posted by Xavier (Member # 405) on :

I couldn't disagree with you more.

Posted by IanO (Member # 186) on :

It's the same reason why I don't find hardcore women body-builders attractive. I don't like seeing veins.

Posted by Noemon (Member # 1115) on :

So is this really a "if I could take a pill and change my appearance, here's who I'd look like" thread? I really wouldn't want to look like anyone else other than myself. There are indivudual things about my appearance that I'd change if I could/am changing currently--I'm no fan of male pattern baldness, for example, and I've still got some weight to lose--but I wouldn't want to just look like somebody else.

Nah. I think it's just a "Whose looks I admire the most thread."

I third the vote for Kate Winslet. Her beauty is so sunny and real. I love the way she looks...and I wouldn't mind standing next to Johnny Depp either. [Smile]

I've always kinda fancied the James Garner-look.

*call me stupid*

but, he's got more class than Eastwood, for a comparison of near ages.

I have a cousin who is a dead ringer for Kate Winslet in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. They look so much alike as to be uncanny.
