WE all know what's going on; species dropping like flies, global warming, random new diseases, Rush Limbaugh gaining in popularity, Bush getting reelected (I'm not democratic, so please don't crucify me for that one), but lets just say this is all propaganda, as it is, because, let's be honest, we don't really know what the hell is going on. But now there's something else...

Since a few years ago, the extinction of bears had been gaining in media and public attention. But why hasn't it been attended to? well, that includes a part of the story that isn't being told to the mainstream media. This is because the reason of their extinction is not pollution nor illegal poaching, although they do greatly contribute. The underlying reason, however, is far more devastating...

Polar Bears have stopped breeding. Ther reason for this isn't the ones that usually come to mind. No, they have been thoroughly checked, and those normal issues have little to do with it. Ther real reason is this: we don't know, they have simply stoped having the will...

But there is one clue. After several years of reaserch, there is one thing that has been uncovered; that only one part of the body really has anything to do with this epidemic, and that is the same part of the body that has to do with instincts, the same part that lets a dog know that there is going to be a hurricane . But let's not start with the propaganda. At this point, I'm not gonna be the one who accidentally cries wolf, and neither is the scientific community. No, we're just gonna wait for the hurricane.

I think it's because girl polar bears all got real ugly.

I think it's an epidemic of chemical depression caused by the chemical pollutants in the air and water.

Yet another thing to worry about.

I think the polar bears saw one too many ads for "Cialis" on the evening news and decided it just wasn't worth the effort...

Nope. That wouldn't do it.

Maybe all the girl polar bears figured out that they can be happy without a guy polar bear.

or maybe the polar bears didn't want to put their children through the torture of being on a coca-cola commercial.

Posted by Steev (Member # 6805) on :

Or they all decided to try an alternate life style.

[Smile]

Maybe they all converted to being brown bears.....

I think it's the males that are becoming liberated. Have you ever tried to mess with a female polar bear?

I thought that they disproved the idea that animals could predict weather situations.

That doesn't mean anything, next week they will come out with a study that says they can. I had a teacher try to prove to the class that dogs have no memory whatsoever and that its all just conditioning.
As to the polar bears its because cold water causes shrinkage... [Big Grin]

In all honesty....no.

But now my curiosity is piqued. Have YOU? [Wink]

I know I haven't.

I haven't had the pleasure oh "messing" with a female human, and you're shouting polar bears! ONE AT A TIME, fellows!

Depending on the amout of back hair you have, you might have abeter chance with tehPolar Bear...

Well, I guess I sould cancel my trip to the Artic Circle, there isn't much of a poin if they aren't breeding anymore.... [Evil]

Well, Mary gets very mama-bear when she's pregnant or has a newborn.

Well, there was this one time. The polar bears at the zoo were really close to the fence, and I poked a polar bear. Other than that, no.

I went to NY for a wedding in the early 80s, and while I was in the city, some stupid kids broke into the polar bear pen in one of the zoos there and got mauled to death.

True story.

That's it! They all decided they'd rather have a bicycle!

Phranc did a song about it -- "The Ballad of Lucy + Ted"

There is that prophecy about the last days:
"The love of many shall wax cold."

Personally, I think the polar bears have quietly evaluated their life, and determined that the only people they provide a purpose to any more are zoo keepers and eskimos (who are now ordering clothes and supplies online). Perhaps we should adopt them as the nations national animal, and make them feel better about themselves.

I think that they can't stand to bring any more cubs into this cold, cruel world.

The toxic part was disproven, as was the part about animals not being able to sense climate changes.

Or wait, how about this, only humans have memory, emotion, and conscience... oh, and animals actually ask to be served in restaurants... really, they do... and they prefer restaurants in New York and some place called Elbonia... except gazels.. those assholes prefer to be eaten by tigers... even though they're not on the same continent...

wanna know something cool though, the primary pesticides used on florida stste flowers are the same drugs of choice for attempting suicide in the same state, only they only use one or two grams. farmers put more than two hundred GALLONS on the flowers. They use other drugs to make the pesticide go deeper into the soil and then into the water system before it kills the flower. Now htats funny. I don't know why I'm telling you this... Im depressed...

So what is this chemical? Do you have links on thing things you are asserting?

Posted by zgator (Member # 3833) on :

I live in Florida. I can't say that I've ever heard of the pesticides used in orange groves being used for suicide. But then again, I'm not wearing a tin foil hat, so I guess I wouldn't.

As a soils engineer and someone with passing familiarity with soil contamination, I'm fascinated by a chemical that can be used to make a pesticide go deeper into the soil. Deeper into the groundwater, yeah, but soil... It could be done, but it would be outrageously expensive.

So long and thanks for all the fish.

(It works for them, too)

Oh, and Mother Tree, I hope you're not thoroughly embarrassed by me saying this, But I appreciate you simply asking for the proof. Ask and you will receive, thanks

My goodness, boy did you give it to me! Got all your current frustrations out? Good, because this time I'm thoroughly pissed. I'll post a reply to this in ten minutes DIRECTLY to you, with all the info and how to find it. Some of my details were probably off because I was tired as hell. But this ones to YOU, so be reading it, it'll be my last post.

I apologize for the tin foil hat crack. Other than that, how was I getting my frustrations out? I honestly don't believe there is a pesticide designed to go deeper into the soil and into the water system. Even in your other thread, you still didn't answer that.
