I'm refering to the Washington Governor race. (I'm sure this has been broughtt up.. but I'm venting and I know it's old news...)
Rossi won the case twice for governor! Gregoire won ONLY once and the judge said she's governor...

Isn't there something wrong with this?

Didn't the judge rule that while Rossi won the court cases, Gregoire actually won the election? That holds more weight.

I heard that there were people voting twice for Gregoire and that dead people voted for her... of course I just heard that..

If she got more votes in the election and the election wasn't rigged (or could be proven to have been), any other outcome would be offensive to democracy, even if you don't like the candidate.

It may have been rigged.. but yes it would be offensive to democracy if she got more votes.

Wait...maybe I'm misunderstanding. It's only offensive to democracy if she got more votes?

She got more votes. I think that means she wins, if you believe in democracy.

I thought the judge ruled that there were fraudulent votes, but that they were all for the candidate with less votes anyway? That's what I heard on a newsbreak on the radio at some point anyway.

You are looking at the wrong vote count. He did indeed get more electoral votes, and those are the votes that count towards determining the outcome.

So yes, it does matter who got the most votes - as long as its the right sort of votes.

The ones mandated by the constitution? Yep.

Nope, the Gang of Five didn't allow Florida to count its votes.

So they made up the numbers for those umpteen counts? Someone just guessed?
