I've had bites of Mama and Abba's hamburgers before, but tonight, Mama made me my very own hamburger! (She said it was a "twelfth-pounder", whatever that means. ) It was so yummy, I gobbled it. [Big Grin]

Yes, Ms. Elizabeth, I like them on white bread. With onion and garlic in the meat. That's how Mama made them. Are there real diners in Texas? What about California? Or will I have to come see you to get a diner burger?

"Idiots" are those people that wear lots of white make-up and big colorful hair and very silly clothes with BIG shoes. Your Mama might call them "clowns."

My little Tanner has grown to be quiet the garlic fan himself. But just like me, he refuses to eat onions. That's my boy!

My wife and I were talking about garlic last night. I remember my dad always coming home from dinner with my mom and her saying he'd smell like garlic for days. I've never noticed a "garlicky" smell coming from anyone.

It's probably because I always smell like it too.

Diners are everywhere. The onions are a nice touch, but a diner burger tends to be a bit greasy, and soaks into the bread perfect;y. Don;t tell your mom, but I never put ketchup on a burger! Salt and pepper and cheese.

Here are some Texas diners I found. I bet when you and your mom and dad drive to California, you could diner it the whole way!

So I thought.
One night, my husband and I went to a nice restaurant. I had roasted garlic soup, mussels with garlic chunks, and a spaghetti stir-fry with loads of fresh garlic.

I walked into work the next day, and did not even get in the offioce dor when a coworker shouted "Elizabeth! Did you have garlic?!?"

I was horrified. I tried lotion, soap, body spray. Nothing worked. It was coming out of my skin, I think. The room I taught in was very small, and a couple of the kids kept saying "What's that smell??" The guy I taught with took the rap. He apologized and said he had eaten a bunch of onions. I owed him big time for that.

Mind you, I could not smell a thing.

Emma has very good taste - those are some of my favorite things (although I always prefered the pretzel goldfish). Of course, I'm not sure I know how to cook without onions and garlic.

I was sitting in the front room drinking a yogurt drink when I had to leave the room. I set the drink on my desk and left thinking it was completely out of Tanner's reach. It's funny that my brain would possibly think a thing such as "out of Tanner's reach." Needless to say, Tanner loves yogurt and recognized what I was having. He somehow reached the drink, opened the lid, and "drank" the contents. There was yogurt all over the carpet.

I got pictures, I'll put them on foobonic tonight.

Once garlic oil gets into your bloodstream there is very little you can do to cover the smell.

If you're bored, try cutting a piece of garlic in half and rubbing it on the sole of your foot. Really slather the sole of your foot with the garlic juice. In about 10 minutes or so you'll have garlic breath. The oils can penetrate the skin and enter the bloodstream. When the blood passes through your lungs, the scent from the garlic will rise up and be exhaled by you.
