First thought that hits my head when I see the title of this thread is, "BC Ferries. I wonder if they're still as bad as they were when I lived there." I can see that some things just never change. [Roll Eyes]

BC Ferries was transformed from a provincially operated Crown corporation into an independent, commercial organization in April of 2003. It is now operated at arm's length from the government of British Columbia.
I didn't know this. It makes me wonder a whole lotta things. . . Like, when the new corporation was formed, did they take everyone with them, or did they fire the deadbeat dumb stoopid management a**es and hire new ones? Are the ferries now on time? What did they do with the fast ferries from that fiasco? Are they still as hated as they were?

Is their food any better than it was? (Used to be dry cardboard and plastic masquerading as severely overpriced foodstuff. Imagine, $6 or $10 for a lousy sandwich. And I really do mean lousy.)

What would be the point of hiring new "deadbeat dumb stoopid management a**es"??

I dunno. Maybe the new deadbeat dumb stoopid management a**es won't screw up in the same old ways. Maybe they'll find more interesting and entertaining ways to screw up.

On the other hand, that could be what this is. . .
