Is duck tape bad for your skin? As in if you were to wrap portions of your body in that material, would it be bad for you?

Duct (or duck -- same thing) tape will cure warts. I don't think it is a problem having it on your skin. Taking it off, however, may just be painful. Especially if you tend towards hirsutism.

My last three victims have led me to believe so.
A quick google didn't show any significant health issues (Like, there were no poison warnings.) Actually, one thing it did say was that duct tape is a good cure for warts... o.O

Well...I'm hoping to cover parts of my body in duck tape as part of an elaborate ruse to try to cover something up...

I may be mistaken, but I think the whole reason that duct tape helps cure warts is that the duct tape doesn't breathe. The warts don't get any oxygen and thus go away. Or something like that. I seem to recall a story of a guy who got duct taped to a wall and nearly got heat stroke because the duct tape was blocking all of the heat or the air or both or something like that. Fortunately, they cut him down and he was fine. Anyways, I'm not entirely certain that what I just said is correct, but there's my $0.02.

The wart doesn't need ot "breathe". Duct tape cures warts because it is irritating to the skin, and this irritation causes an immune response that attacks the wart (caused by a virus, dontcha know). The REALLY interesting thing about the cure is that if you have multiple warts, but treat only one with the tape, they ALL get better.

Out of curiousity, can I use Duct Tape to stop evil terrorists, and their WMDs? You know, maybe control my breathing by stuffing Duct Tape up my nose, or maybe create a speciality mask of filtering power to stop it? Or maybe I could cover every space in my house with duct tape, so as to stop the evil thing terrorists love to kill us with called air?

Why would you take it off them? And, once there were bound by duct tape, why were they alive long enough to complain? Alternately, if you went to the trouble of binding them with duct tape, why would you take a little bit of extra time and either put a piece over their mouths or just gag them?

Kayla, capturing a victim is simply no fun if you just let them sit there bound and gagged. Anyone knows that.
What a perfect substance is duct tape for the torturist. It can bind the victim while causing pain and discomfort at the same time. It just takes a little energy to give the tape a pull here and there, over the sensitive parts, you know?

It has been proven that Duct Tape is great for just about everything, except holding Ducts together. Its weakness is water, and some ducts sweat, causing the tape to come undone.

if the wart thing is because duct tape irritates your skin, then i guess the answer to the first queastion is that it is bad for your skin?
long has it been said in my family that "A tool box needs only two things, duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD40."

We used to fabricate our own bandages out of duct tape and tissues for minor wounds in college. Another theory to the use of duct tape for the treatment of warts is that the adhesive is so sticky that it peels a portion of the wart off of the skin and continues to act as an exfoliant...
Just a thought.

Shoe (may be used as a hammer) PAM cooking spray (instead of WD-40) bobby pin (screwdriver) clear nail polish (adhesive, sealant, nylon stocking repair)
Not to be hopelessly sexist and stereotypical, but you've got to admit doing it (or knowing a woman who did) use these instead of the "guy" tools

When I was eight, I broke a bowl. Then I glued it back together using nail polish.
It stuck to the table. Literally, this stuff was better than super glue. We could pick the table up by the nail polish. I think my mom had to take a hammer to the bowl to get it off (all my hard gluing work.)

Morbo, I had always thought that WD-40 and a Swiss Army Knife were also required to fix anything. With duct tape, WD-40, and a Swiss Army knife, you can fix absolutely anything (paranoia included).
