I admit it.

I don't like sharks.

Honestly, they freak me out, and always have freaked me out. When I was 5, my dad towed me and my older brother way the heck out in the ocean on an air mattress, and kept bumping it with his knee, pretending it was a shark.

I've had an antipathy for the creatures ever since.

(That also marked the beginning of my skepticism toward my dad, too. For obvious reasons. . .)
