So I'm watching BBC news and the headline is:

BBC : First Suicide Bomber caught alive .... [Eek!]
Me : I didn't know it was now a career discription these days?

This was followed by footage of his arrest

Police : Come out with your hands up
'Suicide' Bomber : I'm frightened you'll shoot me

Me : Ehhh?!!! I thought that was your job?

********

Headline Two

National Geographic : Trees cause deforestation
Me : [Dont Know]
National Geographic : Convincing article about how trees use so much water and increase transpiration of water back to the atmosphere that they decrease the amount of water available for other plants and hense increase the rate of desertification.
Me : Ehhh?!!! Still not convinced ... any ecologist care to enlighten me?

****

Headline Three

New Scientist : Clean Fuels bad for Environment
ME : [Confused]
New Scientist : When carbon fuels where the result of burning coal the particulates that were also emitted to the atmosphere had a dampening effect on the carbon emission by creating an 'umbrella' that reflected radiation back into space. Since cleaner fuels have come into use (gas) global warming has excellerated.
Me : [Wall Bash] We don't ever get in right do we? But I do none the less enjoy my cleaner air and being able to see across the Thames.

Anyone else have any strange headlines to report?
