I just found out that the computer company I worked for (if anyone remembers, the one owned by the guy who ripped off his employees) is going under. I'm very happy about this, since it is the demise of the absolute worst company in this town. The guy who owned it mismanaged it into well over 35,000 dollars of debt (A considerable ammount, since the business was started with less than a 15,000 dollar investment). I'm just not sure if I should be completely extatic that this guy finally ran everything into the ground (Without telling his employees as he was planning out and working on his own life after the company goes bankrupt) or sad that his employees are getting royally screwed right now. I think I'm just gonna be both.

Can't they all jump ship in a way that screws him worse?

One of them has gotten a lawyer to help him out. We've suspected for quite some time that he has been embezzling funds from the company. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but the company is an LLC and none of his pay went through payroll, which means that he's been paying himself through improper channels. Along with that, about $10,000 in revenue just up and disapeared (Without any equipment or parts which were purchased being ordered). He hasn't officially declared bankruptcy yet, but he is moving to Colorado in two weeks. He's been trying to sell the company, but there is too much liability for anyone with a brain to actually consider it (Think 40 computers with Lifetime service warranties). So there's probably going to be some investigation, and if they find any evidence of his obvious fraud, he's probably going to go to prison.

edit to add: The lawyer the employee got said he will not charge him if there is no money awarded.
