This could be very, very good news. Human trials are to begin in 2006.

The problem is the pressure in those nasal spray bottles was too much for many of the mice to handle. Sure, it got rid of their Alzheimer's Brain Plaques; it shot them right out their a...

Wait...I'll be right back...

Wow that is interesting. Seeing as my great grandmother had Alzheimers and my grandmother is developing it now this will be good news for my future if it works. Alzehimers is one of those things I hope I never have to go through.

My initial reaction:
"Mice can get Alzheimers?! How do you tell?"

Awesome! I really hope it works. Treating a horrible disease with a nasal spray...go scientists!

I would like to see the behavioral tests on the mice pre/post. I suspect that clearing up plaques that have already formed is not going to be the end of our search for an Alzheimer's cure. This is absolutely amazing, and if it leads to a preventive treatment, that's great too. But I suspect that once the damage is done, removing the plaque buildup will probably not do a lot for those already suffering from the disease.

But wow! How amazing!

So cool!
