Do any of the resident movie experts know if there's going to be a "special edition" or such for Sin City? The DVD was released this week, but checking out the features list it seems short on the typical DVD extras, particularly commentary tracks. I loved this movie, but would rather not wind up with two copies if they're going to release a disc with more bonus material in the near future.

So, anybody know?

The word on some of the Geek pages is that there is to be a special edition with all the bells and whistles. The problem is that Rodriguez doesn't like doing that sort of thing so there is no date for release just yet.

Excuse me? Rodriquez piles extra stuff on every DVD he does. There's always a 10-minute Film School" feature, he has cooking features on some of them, there are always deleted scenes, and on the new one he told one of the AintItCool guys that he recorded the audience reaction at the premiere of Sin City in Austin and was going to include it as an audio track.

I was much more surprised that a "plain" version was released at all.
