I picked up my new prescription eyeglasses today. I got those rim-less kind with bendy-ear pieces and a clip on sunglasses attachment that matches the shape of the lenses.

I also got bifocals. This is technically my second pair of bifocals, but this pair really means it. The magnification is high enough that it actually makes a huge difference. And, I got the LINE kind of bifocal because the previous no-line kind had all the extra magnification way down at the base of the lens where it did little good.

These are GREAT glasses. I can see again!

Isn't dkw lovely? [Big Grin]

[Cool] <---- me in my new glasses

I think it lens a certain air of sophistication to your look.

I can see that.

And here I thought, from the title of this thread, that you'd been making a spectacle of yourself again, Bob. [Razz]

I definitely prefer glasses to contact lenses. Contact lenses just don't hold enough beer.

Yep, a vision.

Wow! I do not like my glasses as much. My op pick was not as successful.

That's a shame, Liz. It's important to maintain focus when selecting glasses, I 'speck.

Bob, do we get a picture?

Posted by Elizabeth (Member # 5218) on :

Be careful, Mack, that could be taken as a pun! I just wanted to make it clear that it could be seen that way.

[Eek!]

This is off topic, but I have to say, one of the things that I love about Hatrack is that despite many of the members of the forum being of religions that see homosexuality as a bad thing, people here are very accepting when members of the forum "come out."

I'm sure that people here are equally accepting of other orientations too. For example, if someone comes out here as bi, folk'll be accepting of that too.

Neomon- you couldn't find a more approriate topic to put that in? Lol.

Shawshank, I can't tell if you missed Noemon's pun or if I'm missing yours.

Last time I was waiting to pick out new frames at the eye doctor's office, some Egyptian guy barged in and demanded to go first.

Talk about Coptic Nerve!
