Respect as well.

Big boobs.

Ok, that's not really true. They don't have to be big, just well formed.

What, there can be only one?

Being comfortable in their own skin--regardless how wrinkled it is. [Smile] I'm still working on being comfortable with myself.

Do you think it is true that the traits one most admires in others are the traits one is striving for oneself?

*penalties for overuse of the 'pretentious pronoun'*

integrity to self, to beliefs, and to the ones that are precious to us.

Posted by pfresh85 (Member # 8085) on :

I'd say a tie between honesty and integrity (mainly because there's a link of sorts between the two).

SO, Fusiachi and Treason, does that mean you admire MrSquicky the most?
[ROFL]

Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :

I think it means that Squicky admires ME the most...

Posted by Treason (Member # 7587) on :

You wish Tante! It's ME he admires most!

(Don't click on that if you don't want to see my cleavage)
[ROFL]

Posted by Kitsune (Member # 8290) on :

Understand ftw. A person needs to understand the situation in order to respect, be kind and sincere, blah blah.

Very impressive, my dear. But I can't post my impressive rack on the 'rack -- my camera doesn't have the wide-angle lens required.

...to see your ability to split apart? I suppose that can be a character trait. [Smile]

Thought for others.

(Squicky likes *me*. I bought some new bras on the weekend. 12E! Where do they get off being an E cup?!?)

Posted by Goo Boy (Member # 7752) on :

Integrity.

Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :

I wear a "V" cup, as in "Va Va Va Voom!"

This is the sort of pissing contest I'd like to see continue.

Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :

I put the "rack" in "Hatrack".

<puffs chest out boastfully>

Posted by camus (Member # 8052) on :

What about me? I have an XXL Mansiere. Okay, maybe I don't, but I still want MrSquicky to like me.

Posted by imogen (Member # 5485) on :

You're lucky Ralphie isn't around anymore to fight your claim. [Smile]

Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :

That would be an "E" cup. As in "ewww!"

Having just re-read my post, I should qualify that "Thought for others" is the character trait I most admire in other people.

I did not mean to suggest that my breasts should be a thought for others.

imogen, that's what I thought you meant!

Tante- [Taunt]

spelling edit.

Posted by imogen (Member # 5485) on :

Tante, you've almost beat me! And I joined... 22 months before you.

Aren't your fingers tired?

Onanism?

Posted by imogen (Member # 5485) on :

*proper

I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about

Posted by The Reader (Member # 3636) on :

Respect. From my experiences, real respect for others shows that the person probably is honest and has integrity too.

Hey! Way to derail a high-minded thread!

I guess I could substitute compassion for "thought for others". I think it's more or less what I mean.

Is that a good character trait, or the result of one?

Brilliance.

Even if they're a bastard.

Posted by Anna (Member # 2582) on :

I don't have a word for this.
The capacity to empathize with people, but to stay yourself at the same time.

Posted by Olivet (Member # 1104) on :

Just to clarify, there are things I admire in others that are not things I aspire to, so I made that distinction in my post. I don't want to be brilliant and mean, but I admire people who are brilliant, even if they are defective in other ways. I think you can find something to admire in almost anyone.

So I guess that is what I admire MOST - the ability to see the best in people.

Honor. Then again, to me that includes most of the things mentioned here, maybe even all.

Courtesy, regardless of the situation.

How a person treats a waiter or someone else in a service job is a very good measure of that person.

Posted by JaimeBenlevy (Member # 6222) on :

Perceptive and understanding. I love a person that could look at you, hear you talk for two minutes, and say exactly what you need to hear and understand exactly what you mean.

Posted by Treason (Member # 7587) on :

Tante! [ROFL]

I changed my mind. Forget sincerity, I'm in love with Tante's humor!

Posted by Uprooted (Member # 8353) on :

A mix of compassion and bravery.

Posted by Corwin (Member # 5705) on :

Kindness and understanding.

NOT sincerity; too many people use that as an excuse to do anything. "But at least I'm sincere about it!" So what?!
