According to my atlas, Iraq is in the continent of Asia.
The great and inconcievable thinker Vizzini listed the two most famous Classic blunders, of which going in against a Scicilian when death is on the line is only less well known.
That great and most well known classic blunder is, of course, "Never get involved in a land war in Asia."
Hence we have undisputable and "Inconcievable" proof that the invasion of Iraq was a blunder. Who can argue against that?

Never get in a land war in asia? How did he determine that one? Plenty of people were in land wars and did ok. Primarily the Chinese.

Blayne--the Chinese had centuries to get into trouble during their land wars. Consider--Japan in China WWII, Russia in Manchuria before WWI, UN and China in Korea, the French in Vietnam, The US in Vietnam, USSR in Afghanistan, all of these were bloody, draining, terrible wars.

Ah but you see, in a war there is usualy someone who on the outside seems to be the winner around 50% of the time, China eventually became a unified Empire (somewhat anyways) under various dynasties, though I agree most of the modern wars in Asia seemed to have been massive drains on resources.

And if you want to go way back, the Mongolians had a pretty good time whomping on everyone they came into contact with. Twice they ravaged the entire middle east, flattening most major cites to rubble.

The statement "what goes around comes around" is proved better in the Middle East/Asia than anywhere else I think.

I think the Middle ast/asia has less of that chiverly and idealistic bull, realism has been inthe forefront of asian politics for a long time, the enmy has land I want I'll make a bunch of intricet alliances to make sure I ake it and then I take it.

Really? I think that many asian cultures value honor a lot more than western cultures. Which is just another form of chivalry. Idealism can mean a lot of things to a lot of people too. You mean western style idealism, which champions a different ideal than many east asian cultures find appealing, and have throughout history.

My friend Troll can do Vizzini's voice near perfectly, and at one point had that entire scene memorized (if not the entire movie). And, as he's getting older, he looks more and more the part!
