It also happens to be my dad's birthday. I'm going to call him up and leave some kind of dumb message like, "Arrg, it be yer birthday, and also International Talk Like a Pirate Day. Happy Birthday. Arrrg."

Aye, one of the first things that attracted me to my husband, me hearties, was his sunken chest.

Pirates rock, maties!

I'm totally going to terrify the new speech recruits by showing up at the meeting dressed as a pirate for our exhibition debate! Also, gonna talk like a pirate for the debate: I strongly object to being made to debate against my partner, who spent a good part of last year commenting on how I did better without her. Maybe talking like a pirate will make it less a contest.

ARRRRRRRRR!

I thought talk like a pirate day was later in the year, like november, it isn't november is it? Ohhhhhh now I need to go Christmas shopping.

Haha, it's funny how talking like a pirate implicitly includes dressing like one.

I'm sure that almost everyone has already seen this , but I still think it should be required viewing for ITLAP day. Also, check out their new video, Invention Pioneers of Note. It starts off slow, but is very funny.

My boss sort of dressed like a pirate today. She had a bandana and a sword, it was great!

We also have coffeehouses every Wednesday and this Wednesday's theme is Pirates! We're going to have booty and everything.

One of my teachers-after going "oh, anna, what are you doing now?" had our whole class answer role with "arrrr!" or "aye" or "ahoy" and repeated names of students who simply said "here"

And the guys in maintenance all talked like pirates a bit!

Posted by The Rabbit (Member # 671) on :

Arg, I feel a blasted fool for missing my favorite holliday, laddies and lasses. I was too busy passed out in the Carribean sun, matey, to go plundering for loot and booty, and for that I have paid my price, arrrrrrrr.

Arg, the first rule of aquisition is to never get to drunk to make a profit, and indeed, the rum is now gone. Arg.
