From the same child who brought you the awe inspiring "Now I can learn anything" comes these pearls of wisdom.

And let the record state that the following is much more typical Emily.

First we have a conversation held while watching The Two Towers on TV.

Em:"I'm over Frodo."

Me:"What?"

Em:"I don't want Frodo as a boyfriend anymore. I've moved on to Elliott." (Elliott refers to Elliott Sadler the NASCAR driver of the M&M's car.)

Me:"Why?"

Em:"Well, for one thing he's real. And for another, he's taller than me."

Next, I saw a PSA about drugs and mentioned to her that doing drugs was an especially stupid thing for athletes to do (this is my athletic one, the gymnast) She just sighed and said "Mom, I know that. I've known that for ever. I Googled it when I was five."

Man I love that kid. [Big Grin]

If I ever have a kid like that, I will know I've succeeded in life.

Seriously, though, I'm a little scared. I remember learning to use a computer. I doubt my children will.

Based on all four of my kids, I can say I've definitely succeeded. They're all wonderful. [Big Grin] [/shameless brag]

Belle: Great, but when will you get over Frodo?

As far as computers and kids, Sasha found there are games he can almost do on our computer. He plays "Bouncy Ball", a breakout style game, every day, and several other free internet games when ever we let him.

However I think he's played them a bit too much.

Last week I was trying to teach him baseball. He hit the ball, ran around the bases, then turned to me and said, "Do we go up a level now?"

Sorry Belle, I don't want to be seen trying to steal Emily's thunder, as if I could, but this one is even better the the "Up a level" one.

My parents and Brother's family were watching Sasha Saturday night. The subject of marriage came up.

Sasha, to his 13 year old cousin Nick. "Are you going to marry your momma?"

Nick, "No. You can't marry momma."

Sasha, "Poppa did."

Belle, with all the things your kids say and do, that'd make a fantastic book.
