I've been meaning to post these Haryr Potter questions for months. But the summer vacation I had just seemed to be my vacation from Hatrack as well. If this has been posted I apoligize. I refrain from answering these questions at this time but I will later. [Big Grin]

Question #1 If you looked into the mirror of Erised what would you see? (Remember it shows you your heart's deepest desires.) I wish I could say I would see only myself.

Question #2 If you saw a Boggart what would you see?

#2 - Oh so many things come to mind...Snakes...me with a copy of my latest book with a second-best-seller sign on the front [Big Grin]

Actually, come to think of it, for #1, most people's deepest desires are things that would make them happy, right? Therefore, most people's deepest desire is happiness. I think I would see myself staring back with a big, sincere smile on my face, equaling happiness. That should cover all possibilities.

No. I associate patronus with paternal, hence Harry's father's animagus.

My father died of leukemia, but suffered a major cerebral hemhorage that destroyed the vision in the left half of each eye. It also caused his to lose his sense of beauty, in some respects.

To relieve the pressure, they shaved his head, cut out a large section of his skull, and stitched a large circular patch of skin back to the rest of his head.

A couple of weeks later, his hair had grown out slightly, and he was allowed to go out of the hospital. He furtively went into a sporting goods shop and came out with a package.

When he got home he took my brother into his room (my brother has always been a very good artist, who has a flair with fonts), and emerged with the word "Spalding" written along the seam in his head.

He let us feel his brain through his skin.

His sense of humor and his sense of scientific inquiry were his greatest weapon against death.

1. I want to fly more than anything. Therefore, I see myself flying with my guardian angel, above my own little world, the one I created when I was like 10 and still lives on today.
2. I fear all sorts of arachnids, but the one thing I fear the most is not going to heaven. That would be the greatest disappointment ever. So the flames of hell would be my boggart.

Patronus: Aslan (I must have Narnia on the brain tonight)
Big beautiful talking lion to protect me!

1) Me, a successful artist, having great dinner and a few beverages with my beautiful, intelligent wife (the one I haven't met yet), enjoying a great conversation with friends and family while watching the sun set into the ocean.

2) Not sure, I don't like spiders, but it would most likely be something more like Mrs. Weasley

3) If your Patronus is based off your father, then mine would probably be a great big football player, he's a coach. If it is something you love then it would be my dog.

Posted by KarlEd (Member # 571) on :

1. Me, immortal
2. Me with Alzheimers
3. A great silver dragon, wise and fierce.

However, if your patronus is based of your father, well, I'd probably just get a weak puff of smoke and hear giggling. [Dont Know]

1 - Me as a librarian

2 - My husband dead or badly wounded

3 - A she-wolf

1: I'd see my children grown and very happy.

2: My boggart would be a swarm of various large stinging, flying insects.

3: A wren, of course.

Posted by Blayne Bradley (Member # 8565) on :

oh patronus, Dragon. My animagus, a dragon.

Posted by Little_Doctor (Member # 6635) on :

1: I'd see myself in the future, with a happy family, and enough money to provide for them.

2: I think the most frightening thing that could happen to me is if something were to happen to one of my brothers. So I suppose it could turn into the corpse of either of them.

3: My Patronus would probably be an ape. I love apes. I'm also just as lazy. Those guys lay around all day!

Posted by Altáriël of Dorthonion (Member # 6473) on :

My animangus? I'd turn into a black panther with butterfly wings proportionate to my panther body.

Woa! Sorry it took me so long to respond I didn't even know there were more posts on this thread..

I will answer your question with a question... what is a LJ meme?

Posted by Dr Strangelove (Member # 8331) on :

#1: Me imparting Truth in a flawless way to everyone
#2: It wouldn't make sense to anyone ever so I won't even bother to write it out, but just for the record I did think of one
#3: A hawk. Its the creature I respect/love/feel connected to the most.

Posted by Shanna (Member # 7900) on :

Erised: I'd see me holding a stack of my own published works surrounded by adoring friends.

Boggart: A professor waving a paper deadline in my face. (perfect embodiment of perfectionism and procrastination.)

Patronus: Gorilla. Its a favorite animal I've loved since childhood. I could totally see sending one after a dementor.

A LJ meme :
In this case, someone would post these questions and their answers in his/her livejournal and ask his/her friends to answer them too.

That's a fantastic story, Glenn. Thanks for sharing. [Smile]

And as for me...

1. Me, looking back at the end of my life and being happy and proud of myself.

2. Ditto Mrs Weasley for me too - my little sister, my brother, Tony - ack! Doesn't bear thinking about. Other than that - probably something to do with heights and falling.

3. A devon rex. Slightly odd looking, all purrs and cuddles one minute and hell-cat with claws the next.

I asked five of my friends about which animal they percieved me as I got: Giraffe, Chipmunk, Antelope, and two who said "some kind of bird."

Myself, I have no idea.

Posted by romanylass (Member # 6306) on :

Mirror of Erised- me holding my living, healthy baby boy.

Boggart- definatley ditto to Mrs. Weasley.

Patronus- I've never thought about it., The only animal I've ever felt affinity for are spiders. So maybe a giant spider.

#1: Me teaching a class of well behaved high school students totally enraptured on my every word and asking good questions.

#2: I'm with Mrs. Weasely: a vision of my wife dead

#3: Don't know... always been partial to leopards. If it could be a person, my Grandfather who was the stongest, gentlest person I knew. (And he loved to ski, I can picture him on skis chasing away Dementors)
