Okay, I'm paranoid sometimes, and I decide to google my name and things related to me.

Google me

Google yourselves and see what interesting things come up. I use raventh1 all over the place, and I really should start using more login names. Actually I recently have started using more and more names.

Interesting tidbits I found about me:
I'm a geek, and I post on internet forums. I need to get out more.

Dude, my dad's periyukas are famous! They turn up on the Answers.com page about Eastern Europe. [ROFL]

Lots of recipes I posted on recipezaar.

I'm a member of Hatrack and Nauvoo and bookcrossing.

Several hits for Teresa Heinz Kerry. [Roll Eyes]

And I think I've found my nemesis, the woman who registered my e-mail before me so I had to put an underscore in when I switched ISPs. *narrows eyes*

I found that my username is really popular with goth kids.

Hmmm. Most of mine is not in English, except that apparently I "represent the harder styles in dance music." Not sure what that means, but if it possibly means "graceless dork with no rhythm," I can't argue.

LOL! There are none of my posts here. Just ones from a mystery shopping forum (from 2 years ago) and a mommy forum I posted in for about a week and something from Atari that I probably signed up for but never posted in. Also my ebay profile is there. Very interesting. [Big Grin]

This username only brought up two hits, both Hatrack.

The username that I have used the most, wolf with a six-digit number after it, had no hits at all.

I am happy to report that when I google both versions of my name, as well as my old login, the results are actually referring to me. My login and my maiden name used to come up with all sorts of annoying people with my name who were not me. I didn't even show up on the first five pages of hits! Now, I am the first result on both searches.

*dances around singing "iexistiexistiexistiexist"*

edit: I take it back. Only one version of my name shows up. But I still exist.

My username brings up hits on several different forums, most of them archived posts. Shows how much of a nerd I am.

lol

mine is a noun. I got about 40,200,000 hits...

including pretty pictures

The moral of this story is, don't give yourself a username that is a normal word if you want to find anything fun through googling. Gee, at least Dragon got pretty pictures! ;-)

My user name brings up mostly porn.

Posted by Speed (Member # 5162) on :

My username brings up a TV network, some punk band, an illegal drug, broadband internet, a movie with Keanu Reeves, and hundreds of millions of other results.

If nothing else, I guess it proves that I'm eclectic.

(Or perhaps, considering that on the first page I called up TV, movies, music, the internet and recreational drugs, I guess it could mean that I'm the most entertaining person in the world.)

unbeknownst to me, my user name is the name of France's most famous transsexual. [Roll Eyes]

Mine just gets me or references to me.

*basks in the aura of uniqueness*

Searching my username, both in the normal form and in the three word "ea quae legit" form, shows every single result related to me. Assorted forums I belong, or belonged, to. Pweb, Hatrack, Shereos, Cauldron, a Pratchett message board, and I think a couple others. Even one page where someone went through a great deal of effort to type out the entirety of Shadow Puppets, including the acknowledgements. (Link) Is that even legal?

The only one not related to me is a Latin tutorial page in a language I cannot understand. http://latin.elte.hu/oldal.php3?id=adLA_341 Out of curiosity, can anyone identify it?

Lots of hatrack stuff, foobonic, a few live journal things, a model horse message board I used to be on (well still am but with a different user name not at all associated with me), Tom's website (plastic castle right?) yeah I've only been there to look at pics of sophie,

The name of a translator, another forum, and down the line a it, Hatrack.

Funny. I thought I made this username up out of thin air . . .

Like [url= http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=%22Haloed+Silhouette%22%2C+%22Jonathan+Howard%22&btnG=Search]this[/url] I'm just myself.

By the way, who's updating this page to the new layout?

Well, Im not the first hit, like I used to be, but I do take up the majority of hits on the first 5 pages.

Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :

My real name brings up many hits that are actually me... I guess Raia is a little more commonly used, though.

It looked like Hungarian to me, so I ran it through a Hungarian-English translator, and it translated out, so I guess it's Hungarian.

I've got a lot of forum stuff, as well as stuff related to my old website.

When I google my screen name I get only me, and only on Hatrack. But that's the only place that I use this name.

I get more hits for my real name. Apparently I am a nurse of some renown. And I give to charities that list my name as a donor, apparently.

Posted by starLisa (Member # 8384) on :

I use starLisa everywhere, but it's never occurred to me to Google it. I get tons when I Google Lisa Liel, though. Kinda weird.

Googling starLisa for the first time... wild! I found a dog named Emcee's Diamond Starlisa, and there are tons of listings that aren't mine. My name is more unique than my username.

the only thing that comes up is my Xanga site. hmm.

Posted by Goody Scrivener (Member # 6742) on :

After Google sorts out the "similar items", I get three hits to Hatrack, two to Foobonic, and one to Sakeriver. When I take the space out, I add a couple hits from the Blog user forum and one from another Blog user who I was able to help figure out RSS once I got it working myself. change the space to an underscore and I get a bunch of hits to LiveJournal, mostly on friend lists, from the looks of it.

Yeah, I won't even bother doing this. It's pretty useless in my case. [Big Grin]
