Dagonee,
Can you tell me what the cap is on a malpractice lawsuit in Virginia?

Thanks.

He isn't allowed to offer actual advice like that yet, although he may be able to direct you to some sites that might have that.

Kwea,
I'm not asking for advice, just asking if he knows what the law says is the cap. Our lawyer will be getting back to us later today and would be able to provide the information. I'm just too impatient...

No problem, I just wanted to make sure you knew that, it has been an issue in the past.

Whatever hapened, I hope it works out for you. [Frown]

Thanks. I was trying to be obvious in that I didn't want advice or his opinion as a lawyer...and apparently failed [Smile]

No, I noticed...it's just not a clear cut area, it has a lot to do with interpetation. [Wink]

Virginia Medical Malpractice Summary

This is by way of pointing you to a site. (run by real lawyers!) It is in no way intended to represent legal advice. Actually, it's the product of a Yahoo! search for "Virginia malpractice lawsuit cap".

Thanks tern. My searches through Google had turned up this site, I was just hoping for some 'real' information...

Sorry I didn't get to you. But tern did exactly what I would have done. [Big Grin]

You did mean medical malpractice, right?

BTW, here's a link to the law cited in that article.

Thanks Dags. And, yes, I did mean medical malpractice.
