Moody is great!!

Although Harry's acting hasn't taken a large turn upward...great clip overall

That part of the book made me sad [Frown] . They seem to have toned it down for the movie though, so the amazing bouncing ferret isn't bouncing off the flagstones :\.

That's perfect. [Big Grin]

"He might have mentioned it."

I so have no problem with Malfoy being bounced off tiles.

*SPOILER ALERT*

I MEAN IT!

Especially given Moody's eventual identity - no good guys doing anything bad, just bad guys raggin on each other. heehee

Yeah, they didn't bounce the ferret enough for my tastes. *doesn't like Malfoy OR ferrets*

Yes!

That was amazing! Moody is great, although I agree, there should be more bouncing. Yay for Harry Potter!

Moody's eye freaks me out.

I admit Malfoy is wretched little snit, but I do feel sorry for him, occassionally.

Posted by kojabu (Member # 8042) on :

Oh man I can't wait for the rest of the movie!

Posted by Beren One Hand (Member # 3403) on :

Me too, Olivet. I really think he will redeem himself before the series is over. [Smile]

Posted by Olivet (Member # 1104) on :

This is my hope, as well. I mean, it seems Rowling has laid the pipe for the redemption of Draco, and I will be sad if she doesn't do something with it.

Hmm, the movie Moody doesn't look anything at all like I pictured Moody, but I also can't think how he could change so he wouldn't feel wrong to me.

I also really like the way Malfoy's grown up. I tend to think of him as I'm reading as a little boy, even in the 6th book. The reminder that he's not was really good for me.

I don't like Moody's eye. It just doesn't work for me. And it isn't at all how I pictured it. Its just......different.

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

He's too heavy set. Not "old" looking enough. His hair is wrong. There are other things, too.

The voice is the worst part. I can't stand Snape for the same reason-- his voice isn't the way I hear it when I read the book!

Harry cussed! [Evil]

I soooooooooo wish that I could have done that to a particular girl in high school. [Taunt]

No, Snape is perfect, I haven't watched the clip yet, so I'm not sure about Moody, but Snape has been perfect (the first movie came out about 4 months after I'd read the books, so it was right there, perfect).

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Not for me. Snape is also too big and his voice is way too deep to my mind.

Maybe part of it is your timeline-- you'd probably already seen previews when you were reading. I read the first one several years before the movie came out.

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

Possibly, but I'm not sure I had seen previews. I read all four books in a period of three weeks. And you can't deny the actor is really good, even if he isn't how you view him.

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Oh, he's good. He just reminds me more of Marilyn Manson than Snape. It's totally a voice thing.

I prefer the books over the movies anyway, so it's not like it's hurting me. I can just read the books and imagine him however I want. So there.

queeheeheeheehee! Wow. That was great. He's so cute as a ferret!
