(Who are my Mormons anyway? My friends who are Mormons? My family?)

My Mormons are neither morons nor polygamists.

Discuss.

And where does this "Frank" guy fit in? And why is he always discussing something?

Posted by UofUlawguy (Member # 5492) on :

Well, I'm both a moron and a polygamist, so obviously I'm not yours.

So your Mormons are somewhere in between morons and polygamists?

Posted by Kent (Member # 7850) on :

Narnia. Discuss.

Posted by Olivet (Member # 1104) on :

The only Mormons who are morons are the ones who won't date you because you're taller than they are. Actually, I could be wrong, but that seems fairly moronic to me...

Mormons are morons in every way possible.

Of course, so are members of all other groups.

I'll be your Mormon, yo. [Wink]

Such as humans, air-breathers, and life forms subject to gravity.

Can they be called "Mormies" colloquially?

Is there an Adopt-A-Mormon program?

Posted by advice for robots (Member # 2544) on :

"Is there an Adopt-A-Mormon program?"

There sure is. Just invite the missionaries over to dinner at least once a week and fret over them like their moms would.

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Hee, hee, I've been chastising missionaries since most of them were older than me. Now that I've actually got a year or two on them, it's even more fun!

Posted by fugu13 (Member # 2859) on :

I say hi to the local missionaries when I see them, and stop to talk if I have time and its the first time I've seen a pair [Smile] .

I'm at my parents right now, so no inviting missionaries over for dinner, though (general policy against strangers, mom who thinks the house is never clean enough).

Posted by UofUlawguy (Member # 5492) on :

If you ever saw a missionary's apartment, you would never feel bad about how your house looks when they visit.

"Mormies" sounds like "homies."

I kind of like it.

[ROFL] @ Olivet. You're sweet.

Posted by fugu13 (Member # 2859) on :

Exactly, pearce.

As for mess, I don't care, my mom does. When I have my own apartment I'll invite them over for dinner, but I'll likely be giving them a run for their money in messiness [Wink] .

Interestingly, my girlfriend's apartment is right across the street from the local LDS Institute of Religion.

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

it is?

Posted by fugu13 (Member # 2859) on :

Yes. Well, about ten feet further down the street, too, but that's close enough [Razz] .

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

Well I didn't know there was one on that street at all. How many times in a day can you say your girlfriend on hatrack?

Posted by pH (Member # 1350) on :

Hahahaha, now I need some rap lyrics.

About rollin' wit da Mormies.

My inlaws actually have a tape of some guys from their stake doing a "Mormon Rap"-- very early 90's (that's when it was made) and very white (on purpose.)

"Brothers and sisters, please listen to me,
I'm talkin' to you religiously
My Mormon Rap will make you see
I'm as funky as Donny and Marie!"

[EDIT: "one of those" being an LDS Institute of Religion]

My first dorm was right next to one of those. We used to walk across their parking lot until they fenced it off. My roommate and I would be walking to our church, and occasionally we would be invited to Mormon services. We always invited them to Lutheran services in return. Both sides always refused, although I don't think there were any hard feelings involved.

KQ, my family so totally owns the Mormon Rap tape. That's amazing!!

CrowsWife: yeah, it's usually very amicable refusal on both sides. [Smile]

Narnia, awesome! My favorite part of the whole thing is he starts out talking about meeting a girl, and by the end, he's yelling at the kids to get in the station wagon or they'll be late for Cub Scouts. [ROFL]

Posted by fugu13 (Member # 2859) on :

I've said it all of once recently [Razz] .

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Said what?

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

"Girlfriend", I think.

Posted by Narnia (Member # 1071) on :

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

KQ I think rivka just wanted him to say it again

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Posted by fugu13 (Member # 2859) on :

Said the word breyerchic referred to, rivka.

[Taunt]

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Thank you, rivka.

*bursts into tears*

Rivka was testy to me! [Cry]
