It used to be pretty common here on the old 'Rack to name a thread something like: "The Happy Thread: Or, the Thread Where I Am Happy", etc. It always got a chuckle from me, because I was sure it referenced Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Now (admittedly, very late at night) I am second-guessing my self -- is that really from Rocky and Bullwinkle? Did i just imagine that? I never watched it as a kid, i just remember seeing -- something, a commercial or some such, that convinced me our dual-named threads were homages to that.

Am i right?

I deffinatly remember that, I'd never thought of it when we had threads like that, but I remember it. And I doubt that Papa Moose and Mama Squirrell did, but I don't know, maybe, he was Moose before he met her I know.

Don't know if the thread names are a tribute to that, but the show did definitely have a habit of naming episodes like that.

Now, I need to see an episode...that was always my favorite cartoon. Have to root through my videos, I know I've got one of theirs somewhere around here.

Papa Moose has been Moose since high school or junior high. When we started dating a co-worker of mine started calling us Rocky and Bullwinkle. Since ALL of Pop's family have animal names I took one too. Squirrel seemed appropriate.
