No column this week. Teres went in for a heart catheterization yesterday and the timing didn't work out. Also, I didn't feel funny.

However, not only were there no blockages or other problems found, but thanks to a new kind of plug they used on her she only had to hang around the hospital for 3 hours afterwards, instead of the expected 6. And I was allowed to be with her during this even though we had thought I'd have to wait in the family waiting room. Or at least no one made me leave, which was close enough. So between staying in the waiting room and writing my column or staying with Teres and keeping her company with my sprakling wit and the portable DVD player I accidently had with me... sorry, no contest.

No contest, indeed.

Give Teres my good wishes. I'm glad she's okay.

Chris, I am sorry there is no column, you make Wednesdays fantastic, but I am glad that you got to be with Teresa during her procedure. And I'm also glad there were no blockages, that's awesome!
Best of luck!

Chris,

Please tell Teres I'm very happy about the good news.

Now, just to calm the born worrier in me, I assume she went in because she wasn't feeling good, and now that they've ruled out blockages, what do they think the problem might be? Is it mostly stuff that's not too serious or should I continue to worry?

She was due to have some minor surgery done and the anesthesiologist didn't like her EKG, so he asked that she get cleared by a cardiologist first. No big fears, but very glad to have it confirmed.

Yes! And I'm glad she has a careful anesthesiologist too.

See, now all the karma you've built up with your funny, thoughtful columns will come in handy. [Smile]

*sends more good karma*
