Well, I finally saw it. I assume everyone else has and they wouldn't be reading this if they hadn't, but just in case here is the obligatory
*spoiler warning*
So first my innocuous question. Before I type what you don't want to read if you haven't seen the movie yet.
My question is: What the heck did Mal say to the Operative about shrapnel in that big confrontation scene? What is wrong w/ my ears??
And now the spoilery part . . .
I know this is old news and you've all been over this w/ a fine tooth comb. I read a few early posts from Chris Bridges' thread before I started writing this, and I'll go back and read more later, but it's new grief for me and I have to say it -- I can't believe they killed Wash!! *sniffle* I guess I was in semi-shock/denial for the rest of the movie. And I realized that my grief was for the Firefly series, and for my hopes that it would come back someday. I won't say anything else, will add to an existing thread if I feel the need to analyze.

So here's a Serenity dialogue anecdote. My sister swore that the 'F' word appeared in the movie. I'd seen it six times and hadn't noticed it (and that's something I would notice). I finally had to laugh when I realized that she thought it was during the Mal/Inara exchange.
"You FOG things up. You spin me about."

It is in the script, actually, during the scene where Mal demands anyone not helping him get out, but it wasn't used in the movie.

I'm glad they left it out. It so wouldn't have fit.
