So*, when I got my laptop I got a trial subscription to McAffee virus protection, which has served me quite well until today, when it ran out. I then promptly switched to Samantec, which my school gives for free, but first I went to uninstall all the McAffee software off my computer.
But here's the deal: I can uninstall the firewall, spyware, and all the other 'individual' bits, but I can't get rid of the Security Center interface window, because it says that I still have other McAffee items on my computer. Which I *don't*. Is there some hidden file somewhere I can check? Would emptying my internet cache do anything? *Is mildly annoyed*

Did you restart after removing the other ones, and then try to remove the Security Center?

yeah, but not after each individual one...>.<

You shouldn't need to restart after each one, just after uninstalling all of them. So... I don't know what the problem is. You could try to go to "Add/Remove Programs" in Control Panel and see directly there if there's any other McAffee software installed.
