My brother just told me to check this out:

The music in the last two movies (full and quarter scale testing) is just awesome!

Okay, that's pretty cool. I'd have to have several barf bags to get through an actual flight, but if they get this to work it'd be really amazing.

I wonder how efficiency works out compared to an airplane with a regular propeller and the same general class of engine.

Okay, why do we NEED to develop flight-by-flapping aircraft? I hate to be the utilitarian here, but it just seems like faster, more efficient flight has already been achieved by the stationary wing.
