LEFTOVERS, mmm.

There's nothing like food.

What about those wax replicas of fruit? They *look* like food.

Posted by Cashew (Member # 6023) on :

They're nothing like food

Posted by Cashew (Member # 6023) on :

Pizza... Oohh

Posted by Noemon (Member # 1115) on :

What about delicately spiced, baked mud? People eat it, apparently find it tasty, and all that, but it's really just dirt. To me, that seems foodlike, rather than actually being food.

What about Kool-aid? It *tastes* substantial.

Posted by Cashew (Member # 6023) on :

If it's edible and tastes good, it's gotta be food.

Posted by Cashew (Member # 6023) on :

What sort of spices? Are we talking sweet or savoury? I'd favour sweet, myself...

"What about delicately spiced, baked mud?"

Ewwww! Who bakes mud? Everyone knows it only tastes good fried.

Posted by Noemon (Member # 1115) on :

Philistine.

Posted by Noemon (Member # 1115) on :

Savoury, I think, in answer to your question, Cashew. I could see either one being tasty though.

Posted by Cashew (Member # 6023) on :

Savoury, huh? Can you make the mud into little shapes? That would add to the eating xperience, I feel.

Posted by Cashew (Member # 6023) on :

Noemon, gotta recipe link?

I've always been a rather large fan of macaroni and cheese myself. But that is just me.

MMM. I think I'm hungry too. I've eaten several truffles today (I have a small business making them, this is my busiest time of year, and I have to make sure the quality is good)but I could use something that's NOT sugar.

Posted by Cashew (Member # 6023) on :

Are truffles sweet? I thought they were fungus?

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Personally, I could stand for some cashews. . .

Posted by Cashew (Member # 6023) on :

Don't like cashews, myself

Posted by Uprooted (Member # 8353) on :

"Chocolate Truffles, with their classic cocoa coating and irregular shape, were named after the rare fungus so prized in French cuisine."

Posted by Uprooted (Member # 8353) on :

Truffles, cashews, mac & cheese: all food. Mud: not food. BBQ sauce: not food. Ketchup: debatable (awaits inevitable smiting from the ketchup of righteousness).

Posted by Evie3217 (Member # 5426) on :

romanylass - that sounds like a great excuse to eat truffles. My first response was "suuuuuuure."

*obliges* *smites* I should point out that it's with CAPITALS. The Ketchup of Righteousness!

Agree with you on BBQ sauce, though.

Posted by Cashew (Member # 6023) on :

I repeat: if it's edible and tastes good, it's gotta be food.

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

The "tastes good" is why BBQ sauce doesn't count. [Razz]

Posted by Cashew (Member # 6023) on :

Aaah, I see. Not food: pumpkin; beans; corn; liver; kidney
Food: just about everything else, I guess.

I love my International Econ prof. She bought us pizza for the break during class (evening class for three hours).

Food, food, food, food!

(I hadn't eaten anything yet today.)

You have never tasted my pumpkin soup. Or my beans. Or my cheesy creamed corn.

*wipes ketchup off face and adjusts Kapitalization*

Chicken soup Uprooted made for dinner tonight: FOOD! :-)

Nor has he tried my grandmother's Cuban black beans and rice. Ketchupqueen, you seem very confident in your cooking [Wink] Does it involve smothering everything in ketchup?

Posted by Megan (Member # 5290) on :

If "tastes good" is a requirement, then everything pumpkin except pumpkin bread is definitely out for me. Also, all things squash and zucchini. Yuck.

I'm making a tomato-based bean and pasta soup for dinner, with garlic bread. Yay!

No, I'm just a good cook. Natural talent combined with experience. [Big Grin] Ask those who have consumed my cooking.

Kq: I can vouch for your hot chocolate recipe. That's some really good stuff.
