I'd just like to say that I love this site, and how when you have a question about the site, or something OSC related, or problems with anything, someone who helps to run the site, or someone who knows answers will help you. It's easy to find reasons for why something is (relating to the site, or OSC related things). You ask a question, and you can easily get an answer from a community member in the know, Papa Moose, or even someone in the Card family. You can also send an email, and get a respose within a resonable timeframe, AND that email will answer your question.

When I have problems with some big corporation or enterprise (right now Microsoft), it is near impossible to talk to someone, let alone talk to someone who knows what the hell they are talking about, and even extremely harder yet to talk to someone who knows what they are talking about, and make a difference.

It's a shame I don't know many (business or getting things done wise) important people.

So, I'd just like to say I greatly appreciate what Hatrack is, and who makes up the community, and who runs stuff behind the scenes. It's how most things should (but could never) be.

Out of curiosity, what problem are you having with them?

I never really bought into that whole "Microsoft is evil" thing, but I can see why trying to deal with tech support would make you think that.

They make it incredibly difficult to find semi-specific information about tech support, such as calling the right number, and just talking to someone that can offer help, or guide you to someone who could. I'm not exactly pinning down that they're the only company that has this problem, because they aren't, I was just sort of ranting that its a common problem that I run into too often, and that I'm currently running into with them. So I guess it's not really fair to only point them out in the title, but, I don't know, I just sorta felt like I had to rant to someone, because you know how that is after you deal with customer service-like stuff, you get frusurated, and then complain to someone who knows how it feels, but can't really do anything.

I'm not angry anymore, but it felt good to write something semi-productive, so I'll probably end up deleting this thread. But, thanks for the response.
