So I want ta takes me vitamins, but the water is yellow today. Do I drink, or no? Will it make me sick or am I just being a wuss?

Thank you for your kind advice, hatrackers.

Have you tried letting the water run for a couple of minutes?

It sounds like rust. Let the water run for a while.

Or boil the water.

Dry-swallow 'em, like grownups do. Or grind them to powder first. Or take them with milk. Honestly, how is this difficult?

Oh, hush. I'm a grown-up and I don't dry-swallow anything. It's too hard on me. Thanks for contributing.

I am a grown up and I swallow pills with water. But honestly, just have a soda or some juice or something.

I don't have a soda or juice or something in the apartment. I don't drink soda, don't usually bother with juice. I'm just a plain old water drinkin' kid.

But, by the way, I did drink the yellow water. It tasted a little bitter, but otherwise was okay.

I don't think it's rust; the water only turns yellow occasionally, when there's rain. Today was one of those days.

I'm afraid it's curtains for you now.

If you haven't flushed the toilet for awhile, the water in the tank (not the bowl) should still be good.

The water heater would be another good choice if you haven't yet drawn yellow water into it.

The water in Mexico is yellow-ish. We were told not to drink it or we would have major digestive problems and get super sick.

Oh, yours must've been one of the cities where I poisoned the reservoir!

I...guess so...

Our yellow water is usually because of excessive sediment in the water, like yesterday.

Ew!

*sings*

Get a Brita, get a Brita, get a Brita, get a Brita...

And also, letting the water run can sometimes help. Where does your water come from? Have you checked the listed levels? And if you're in an area where they don't list them, have you sent a sample in to the local university extension to be tested?

[ROFL] kq, you are so cute. You're not talking to me, are you? No, you wouldn't be so delusional. You must be talking to TL.

I heard you can get water tested at, like, Sears. For free. I didn't get sick, all is well.

I had a dream about yellow water coming out of my taps last night. I blame you, TL.

Nothing wrong at all

Nope, quid, to you I just say, I'm glad you have the sense to boil it. [Frown]

I was totally talking to TL. [Smile]

TL, any ill effects yet? Are you able to leave the lavatory long enough to post?

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

We always boil it.

And today, it was even browner. It was visibly brown as it came out of the tap. [Frown] The water I boiled yesterday, after I poured it into our water thingie, well, if I pour it just right, I can leave the sediment at the bottom and not have it go into the water vat. Today, I managed to pour it just right. And at the end, I had about two tablespoons of near-mud. [Frown]

Yuck.

I hate tap water...

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

We could get bottled water.

Thing is, it still came out of a tap. And not necessarily boiled. And still has the same awful taste.

So no, we filter, and it's still brown, and we boil. [Frown]

The water out of the tap in Vancouver, BC tasted so good! I'd love to have that water here!

I just go to the water machine where I get a gallon for 15 cents. Great tasting stuff.

My water will vary in taste, somedays its good and other days not so good.
