What a wuss. He wants money for Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings, which he had absolutely nothing to do with?
Furthermore, if he didn't like the deal he got for the screenplay of the original LOTR, he shouldn't have agreed to it.
I love The Last Unicorn as much as the next guy, but it sounds like he created his own problems, here.

Read the F.A.Q. question under the LotR claim, please. He's not asking for any money from Peter Jackson.
The claim for money is being requested from Saul Zaentz, based on agreements he made with the author. The reason why he agreed to it was because of promises Zaentz made...which were not kept.
Expecting someone who made a promise to keep it is "creating his own problems"? That's an interesting definition.
