Worst movie I've seen since Ben's parents rented Anger Management a year ago.

It's really a polarizing movie. Some people loved it, some people hate it.

I thought it started out funny, but quickly turned not funny. I wish the South Park creators could stick with political and social satire and drop the bathroom humor.

And I HATED Anger Managment.

I feel y'all's pain. I'm currently watching Wedding Crashers. [Razz]

Edited to add: Not by choice. [Grumble]

I thought team america was amusing
But the puke scene was over the top.

Was it really two hours? I'll take an hour and a half back. I think the deleted Matrix-style scene with the puppets just flailing is hilarious... And the movie had its moments.

Killer soundtrack, lousy movie. Alas.

That just dragged on past the point of any comedic value. It was funny at first, but there's a line, you know?

I liked the movie, infact the commentary where the SP creators were talking about Kim Jong-Il was amusing, apparently their greatest wish in the world would be if it won an oscar they'ld want Kim to come and sing the "I'm Lwronry" song.

And yet, Wedding Crashers was one of the most surprisingly witty, well-written comedies I've seen in years. Everyone that went into it expecting nothing but heehaw dick and fart jokes was sorely disappointed.

Was I? Nope, I wasn't. So make that Everyone-1, please.

I thought parts of it were mildly amusing, but mostly stupid, though I'm not afraid to admit that I found both versions of "America F**K Yeah!" hysterically funny.

And I thought Wedding Crashers was probably the best comedy of the year.

Be that as it may, why are Trey and Matt so good at writing songs? Were either of them music majors or something?

If we're talking about lousy movies... I watched "The One" with Jet-Li yesterday. Of course, I knew beforehand that it would suck. [Big Grin]

Well, you and my husband (and Lyrhawn), then. I told him he owes me a chick flick and/or a non-action drama for it, because I didn't find it funny (let alone witty or well-written) at all.

hey! I like Jet-Li movies.

I disagree. I laughed so hard I thougth I was going to pass out! It was painful because of my laughing. It just kept going! I could barely breath.

I loved the movie.

Yes it made me laugh but the humor is once again ultimately made irrelevant by Stone and Parker's tendency to rarely hold any meaningful position on any issue with the exception that all positions are worthy of mockery. So terrorism is a real threat to the world? Apparently. America should combat it? Apparently. Also, America goes overboard, while liberals are stupid for reacting to that. And on and on.

You know, I was surprised Kim Jong-Il hasn't sent out assassins to eliminate them yet. Or maybe his followers make sure he never sees that movie.

Ben, do u listen to 99X? there was a contest to come up with a new theme song for atlanta after the city spent $8 million for its own hip-hop theme song. the radio station had a contest for ppl to make a new theme song and the guy who won took one of the songs from Team America and changed the background chanting to "Atlanta!" it was actually pretty funny.

I really didn't like Wedding Crashes. The main characters were so unlikable.

Yes, in fact: Trey Parker majored in music.

South Park has had it's own share of bathromo humor.

A sentient piece of poop dances around the place, leaving poop stains everywhere, and ends up in the councelor's cup of coffee.

In order to get back at their parents, Butters hired Cartman to smear the walls of their whole house with poop.

In order to get back at their parents for arranging for them all to get chicken pox, the kids hired a prostitute with herpes to wipe their parent's underwear on her open sores, causing them all to get herpes as well.

Trey Parker has some music skillz then. Montage cracks me up. And those other songs on South Park are just hilarious.
Like that anime one.

I hate bathroom humour, yet I wonder why I like South Park so much anyway....
