Did you forget to spell check your post?

Do you forgo grammar and punctuation rules?

Do you "dobie"?

In the past thirty days have you started a post that asks, "Who is going to play Ender in the movie?"

or

Have you just been "annoying" online?

Welcome to the Hatrack Jail. Better get yourself a good Dagonee.

Note: Inspired by erosomniac's thread

Do you double post? [Razz]

*cuffs Valentine014*

Your Knicked.

(You may have deleted the evidence but i saw you [Razz] )

Posted by Valentine014 (Member # 5981) on :

Xan, don't even go there buddy. [Wink] You've very close to being the first inmate. I've seen some of your posts.

Posted by mackillian (Member # 586) on :

Actually, that post sends him to jail. "Your" instead of "You are or "You're."

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

Do we need evidence, or is a simple accusation enough?

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

Meh, i'm allowed to speel rong im dislexic [Razz]

Spellchecker generally does my spellchecking and grammer for me; and i'm lax with it on forums, i usually just use the chat box [Razz]

Posted by camus (Member # 8052) on :

Mackillian, I think you forgot a quotation mark. [No No]

Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :

I'll bet it's one of those white collar "country club" jails, with the tennis and jogging trails. The main hardship is being surrounded by folk who misspell "you're".

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

Hehe, this could get nasty i foresee

Posted by kojabu (Member # 8042) on :

Grammar is important Tante, don't you dare think otherwise!

Posted by Megan (Member # 5290) on :

I think evidence is required, in the form of a quotation including the name of the offending poster, e.g.:

(You may have deleted the evidence[missing comma] but i saw you [Razz] )

Note that the offending portions of the post are italicized. Now, that's three offenses--one of grammar, one of punctuation, and one of capitalization. The grammatical offense is particularly egregious; I recommend six months in a minimum security facility with an additional 50 hours of community service.

Edited to add: I forgot his missing final punctuation! Make it 75 hours of community service, then.

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

Tante, in that case...

I was wonderin who was gonna play ender in that there movie?

Posted by Swampjedi (Member # 7374) on :

I suggest the death penalty for the misuse of the apostrophe.

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

Everyone is picking on me [Cry]

Dont pick on the dislexic guy! [No No]

...are there gurls in the jail? [Evil]

Posted by kojabu (Member # 8042) on :

Dude, you just said gurls. For that, you don't get a mixed jail.

Posted by Megan (Member # 5290) on :

Even if it were a co-ed jail (and it's not), they'd be girls, not gurls.

And, you mean dyslexic. [Big Grin]

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

Just so you no i will be not speeling things rite just to spite you all [Razz]

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

Whew, you lot are easy to get, hehe.

You really think i could love reading and writing for 8 years and seriously mispell girls as 'gurls'? [Razz]

I may be DISlexic ( [Razz] ) but i'm not THAT bad.

Posted by Megan (Member # 5290) on :

I'm still trying to figure out what you have against capitalizing I.

I'll smite you with spaghetti!

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

Hehe, I can feel the sarcasm through the computer. [Razz]

*Looks at the hole in the wall the sarcasm has burned*

Bring out the antipasto!

[Wink]

Posted by kojabu (Member # 8042) on :

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

It sticks Xan.

*Cooks a vat of BBQ ribs and pours the searing hot bones on the next poster*

Posted by Megan (Member # 5290) on :

I before E except after C.

I brought out the antipasto to counter the spaghetti, though, so it's not much of a concern.

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

Scratch that.

*Pours it on Kojabu*

It sticks [Razz]

Posted by kojabu (Member # 8042) on :

Hey! Eew.

Posted by Megan (Member # 5290) on :

Also, I wish the fonts of the forum had serifs. I hate seeing my Is looking like lowercase Ls.

Edited because capital and lowercase are not the same, despite the apparent impression of people who consistenly use aimspeak.

Nice name, Xan.

Does it mean anything?

zgator

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

Yup

My name is Ale'Xan'der [Razz]

Your name is nice too, always nice to meet a similar name ^_^

Your have a meaning?

Posted by kojabu (Member # 8042) on :

Xan and Zan. Whoa. Are you guys named Zander and Xander?

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

Yush i am Xander.

Posted by Rember (Member # 8273) on :

Forgive my impertinence, but didn't the warden of the jail post the following?
"You've very close to being the first inmate."
Hee hee, who's black, pot or kettle?

Posted by kojabu (Member # 8042) on :

Liar! You just said you're Alexander!

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

This thread could be a bad idea, hehe.

Someone might take it a little too seriously [Big Grin]

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

Haha.

What? I can only use one variation of my name? [Razz]

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

OK, I'm saying we toss Xan in and throw away the key. I'm thinking that for the smaller offenses, though, it should be a co-ed prison, with free digital cable, internet, and a gourmet chef. Or at least a McDonald's.

Posted by Valentine014 (Member # 5981) on :

Just McDonald's? A prison indeed!

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

Well, my preference would be a Wendy's or Arby's, but I didn't want to get too greedy....

Posted by Enigmatic (Member # 7785) on :

Xan seems to be proving the arguement that incarceration only hardens criminals and makes them commit more crime.

--Enigmatic

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

well, to this point it's just the threat of incarceration. I say we move forward, and continue this study.

Posted by Zan (Member # 4888) on :

No meaning, it's just my name. I haven't met anyone else with it yet.

Posted by Rakeesh (Member # 2001) on :

Is there a Hatrack Prison? Because really, I'd rather be in Hatrack Prison for a year and a month than Hatrack Jail for just under a year.

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

Evie, do you take requests?

Posted by Evie3217 (Member # 5426) on :

Of course I do. Anything for my drunken sensei. What do you want to hear?

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

*trying to think of something good* Can you play Folsom Prison Blues on that thing?

Posted by Rakeesh (Member # 2001) on :

Thanks a lot, smitty. Now the melody is back in my head after about a week of being firmly lodged there.

Posted by Evie3217 (Member # 5426) on :

Umm...*looks around guiltily* sure! *starts playing Help Me Rhonda*

Is that what you meant?

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

That should never, ever leave your head. I've listened to it about 3 times today.

Posted by Rakeesh (Member # 2001) on :

It makes me wanna take a trip to Reno...

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

OK, apparently in my drunken stupor that night, I didn't teach you all that was important. Including all Johnny Cash songs. And "Poncho and Lefty".

I think we concentrated more on the ninja skills rather than the harmonica skills.

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

Yes, but do you think it's coincidence that Cash always dressed in black? It was a stealth ninja outfit.

Edit: To be fair, I was concentrating more on frosty barley sodas that night more than anything.

Posted by Valentine014 (Member # 5981) on :

You smitty and Evie are under arrest. The charge is derailing. You have the right to stop typing. Anything you type can and will be used against you in a Hatrack court. You have a right to a attorney.

*slaps on cuffs*

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

I tried to keep things ok with "Folsom Prison Blues"... but I've expected to be arrested for a while. I plead guilty.

Posted by Megan (Member # 5290) on :

Dude, if derailing is a crime, the Hatrack Jail is going to consist of nearly everyone on Hatrack.

Posted by Valentine014 (Member # 5981) on :

[Evil] I'm sure I've been guilty of that particular crime.

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

Well, I was hoping the prison would be catered....

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

maybe with a big screen and cable.

Posted by SteveRogers (Member # 7130) on :

I did it. I'll admit it. I will. I am guilty! Guilty! Me! I'm guilty. GUILTY! For what am I guilty? Who knows, who cares?

How long is my sentence?

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Five words.

Blayne Bradley, you have been accused of using "Leet", also know as "L33T", on the forums of Hatrack. How do you plead?

Posted by kojabu (Member # 8042) on :

*whips out the spaghetti to smite Blayne*

Posted by erosomniac (Member # 6834) on :

If this trend continues, I'm going to put myself in jail - all the fun people are going to end up here eventually.

Posted by CRash (Member # 7754) on :

Oh dear. I'm sure I've done something... However, if I'm going to be stuck in here, I certainly do not want to listen to "Help Me Rhonda" (although I'm sure Evie's a pro at the harmonica).

Posted by Vasslia Cora (Member # 7981) on :

I could bake a kazoo into a cake if you would like.

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

*blinks rapidly*

Wow, i missed a lot of posts while i did this little thing called 'sleep'

So...

What is to be done with me?

*prays to be thrown in a pit of sexy sex deprived woman*

...

...What?

I'm an 18 year old Male; I'm allowed to be a pervert.

.

Posted by smitty (Member # 8855) on :

No, Xan, we're going to PUNISH you.

Posted by Xan (Member # 9015) on :

Aww [Frown]

But!

But that would be a punishment, you see i'm ehhh... *thinks hard* ...Gay! Uh, yes Gay!

That would be a terribly awful punisment for me! [Big Grin]
