What sick and demented individual would admit to being a member of the Dobby Fan Club? Most annoying character. Ever. More annoying, even, than Jar Jar Binks, and that's saying a lot.

I don't think that Dobby is more annoying than that Binks fellow. I would say they are tied. Both are equally annoying and frustrating.

*takes a closer look at linked pic above*

But Dobby works at Wal-Mart! That's gotta boost his annoy/frustrate factor past Jar Jar's. [Razz]

Dobby was intended to be annoying, and succeeded stupendously. Jar-Jar was intended to be loveable comic relief, and failed miserably.

Dobby was meant to be annoying in a loveable, endearing way. He pretty much worked in the books, but in HP:CoS I was rooting for the Malfoys.

Can't tell you how glad I was that Dobby got cut from movie GoF. I still can't read CoS because movie Dobby is in my head, although Stephen Fry has helped greatly with that.

I found Dobby exasperating in CoS as well, but I actually liked him in GoF. I liked the whole house elf thing in GoF, I was upset when it was cut out.
