Is ther esome sort of pattern to life or is it just in people's imaginations?
I keep trying to figure this out, especially when it comes to feelings for people.
I wonder if the reason why people fall for a certain type is to lead them to the right person.
I just don't understand it... The way when you look back it seems to make sense...

There's an old saying that you marry what you haven't resolved. Sometimes, dysfunctional patterns are precisely what cause us to be attracted to the same kind of person over and over again.

That's why it's so important to use your head as well as your heart. Look at your patterns, learn from them. If it isn't working, sometimes you have to ignore the "do what comes naturally" advice and do precisely that which does not come naturally to break old patterns!

True, but it's not exactly what I mean, I'm talking more of some odd spiritual fate like element that only makes sense when you really look back at things and only m akes sense to the individual

Well, my personal belief is that there is a spiritual element to our relationships. But I don't believe that fate or destiny rob us of our ability to choose, or force us to make poor decisions regarding those with whom we associate.

In other words, if I keep falling for jerks, I don't think it's fate trying to lead me to the right person. However, I do know what you mean about looking back sometimes and thinking that things were just "meant to be."

Yes, like in the case of that guy...
But I wonder why I must get stuck falling for guys who are slightly like him... slightly....
I was just thinking about how I am no longer in love with him and how strange it is... to go from feeling so stongly to have it go away like that.
